John, the manager, is so kind and definitely cares about his customers. He creates a very welcoming environment for staff and guests.

Recently catered a work meeting and John and his team knocked it out of the park! Everything was ready on time and even helped me get it into the car. I will be coming back again!

I enjoyed a wonderful salad.

Ordered pick up order, it said it’d be 30 min, got there and waited another 30 min with no help. Only one person on register, old ass lady running food and doing to go and a few people out back. I get it’s a staffing issue but the restaurant def needs some reevaluation

Overall good food love this place

The food is fresh and the customer service is great. Not to mention a lot of the meals can be adjusted or customized for vegetarians.

French Dip was awful. Dry, tasteless, and all around just BAD! the au jus, even worse!... $49 for garbage, l bought two of them. Don't waste your time or your money. Although, the mac&Cheese was actually good!

This particular restaurant/location has interviewed (and more often than not, given second interviews) to my sister, who has constantly applied to this location several times over the past year. There’s been at least 2 other times just in this year alone where she was interviewed twice by management only to be ultimately rejected every single time because the management team decided to go with someone else. My sister has tons and tons of food service experience and she currently works at Noodles at the mall. I’m not sure why McAlister’s feels as though she’s not worthy of a spot on their team when I can guarantee she’s far more reliable than a lot of the kids on their staff.

The huge problem I have with this particular location is the lack of awareness and logic and frankly, empathy that goes into their reasoning for giving my sister not just ONE, but multiple interviews within the same process, which of course, gets her hopes up, only to completely dishearten her every time by rejecting her once again. It’s completely insensitive and frankly, super unprofessional. Why does the management team insist on interviewing her time after time again if they’re not going to actually hire her? I don’t know who’s in charge, but I will be calling the corporate offices in Atlanta and telling them what’s going on with the management staff and the hiring process at the Independence location. If they treat their applicants like they have my poor sister, then I can only imagine how they’ve probably treated some of their staff. To whoever reads this, do BETTER. BE better.

Waited over 30+ mins for my food, and then it was burnt. The cashiers were friendly, but not a great overall experience.

My wife and myself visit this location in Independence fairly often throughout the year. Let's average it out to once a month.
The food always tastes excellent, and looks as fresh as any reasonable person would expect. Your options for ordering, either through the app or in person, allow you to customize each individual order to suit each dinner's need/mood. Types of food are deli sandwiches, soups, salads, and potatoes.
As far as service goes, it isn't exactly like a traditional dine-in experience, but the staff is always helpful and responsive. I have never had a negative experience with the service aspect.
