I’m so disappointed because this has been our go to Chinese restaurant for a few years but we had a horrible experience there today. The egg rolls were pink on the inside and smelled foul. We brought them back and asked for a refund and they questioned us saying they order them and they can’t be bad but they clearly were. They were very hesitant to give us a refund and even said that the bad taste could have been since I am pregnant, but I ensured her that my husband (who is very not pregnant) felt they tasted the same way. Just a bummer that they did not take food safety into consideration when serving food.
excellent food! Some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in this area. They have a different take on the pork fried rice. It’s not roast pork. They cook the pork differently, giving the rice a altogether improved flavor. I went basic with the chicken wings and they are to die for. This place is a hidden gem.

We were in town visiting and was craving Chinese food. My family and I visited here because Chinatown Express reminded us of St. Louis style fried rice back home. After placing our online order, our food was hot and fresh. It was a 10 min wait and I definitely recommend this place. The crab rangoon was delicious as well. Next time, I will mention darker rice but overall, this establishment is the closest to St. Louis style fried rice for Kansas City, Mo. My mom is very particular when it comes down to vegetable lo mein and she loved it! Well done Chinatown Express!

Decided to try, because it's really close to home. Walking into a smelly restaurant at 11:30 am lunchtime on a Weekday and seeing no customers and no phone ringing should've have been a warning. But I was hungry, tired, and already there. $18.21 for S&S Chicken and four Spring Rolls. I thought if it's good, it's worth it. Ate one spring roll on the drive home. It was really good, so I was hopeful for excellent food. Got food home. It was terrible, chicken so dried out it was splintered. Sweet and sour sauce so sweet, there was zero flavor. No pineapples, peppers, or onions like every other Chinese food place I've ever had. Just very, very dried chicken. The 4 spring rolls were really good but not worth price of $18.21.
I've had better food off a lunch buffet. Took picture as soon as I got home, just because of the portion size, and how plain it was.

They charge a convenience fee when ordering online. It's already expensive now a convenience fee. Wow
I’ve had all types of Chinese food, unfortunately this was more in the mid-range of tastings I’ve had. I like to order naked whole chicken wings with some form of fried rice along with an appetizer such as crab ragoons or egg rolls. In my opinion the food appeared to look good, as for the taste well…The chicken wings here were sectional, breaded wings, that were extra greasy. the fried rice had a slight after taste I can’t articulate into words at the moment. The crab rangoons however, where crisp, golden, and satisfying with taste and appearance . Probably wouldn’t go back unless I wanted a quick appetizer. The service was kind. 3.5 stars ⭐️

First time in. The food is really good but they need to work on the wait time. First chinese restaurant that I had seen that doesn't have lunch specials. Totally recommend it if you don't mind spending about $20 per person.

Not sure what kind of establishment allows dumpster-divers to work in the kitchen with food... But I saw someone from this restaurant hopping in and out of the dumpster out back, then I saw this same person COOKING MY FOOD!!! Disgusting. I was too embarrassed to speak up as I had my date with me. The location is in a nice area, though.

Walked in to grab a take-out order for lunch. Had a good experience. I ordered fried shrimp, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. It took 10 minutes, very quick service, which was perfect because I had to get back to work. The spring rolls came with 4, 6 crab rangoon, and 8 pieces of fried shrimp, which by the way, happens to be awesome with sweet and sour sauce!
Everything was fresh, nicely packaged, and the young lady gave me 6 fortune cookies……I didn’t have to ask more; that was dope, I almost always want more than one.
Overall experience 5 stars, whenever I’m in the mood for Chinese cuisine and I’m in the area, I will definitely visit here.
Its hit or miss. Sometimes the beef is tender, sometimes its tough.
I miss the lunch combo too. Can't afford to eat there much anymore. The honey chicken is always good! The lady that works there is nice.
Hope they bring the lunch combo back.
