It’s 9:38pm on December 30th. We are from out of state and coming into KC to see family tomorrow for NYE. Had dinner reservations for NYE for months now and literally just received an email from Clay & Fire that our reservation was cancelled. I called the restaurant and no explanation other than will be closed now. VERY disappointing!!
We just had dinner here and the food was amazing. And the owner and staff were above and beyond. Highly recommend.
Went on October 1st for our Anniversary, and didn’t disappoint! Outstanding.

Guests love all the different mezzes, as each one is a unique flavor-bomb. The Dahl (soup) is magical and the Kharcho (smoked short ribs) is amazing. Other dishes not to be missed include the Saganaki, all of the kebabs, and all of the pizzas. The cozy vibe and memorable dishes make Clay & Fire a must-visit. Book well in advance, as this place is popular for good reason.
