recently worked at Hull House for just under two weeks. I was hired as a lead barista and informed them that I am autistic. Their whole mission is to hire people with developmental and intellectual disabilities which autism falls under. I learned very quickly and got lots of compliments on my drinks. Today, the owner, John, told me that I was not advancing fast enough and fired me. I met a friend for coffee here yesterday. What a great experience. We each had 2 drinks and stayed to visit for 2.5 hours! We each had a latte and a tea. Both were great! We felt welcome and I even joked around with Charlie. I was being my usual weird self and he was very entertained. We will definately return often.
Fantastic Place with wonderful people! I love their Fall flight. They put so much hard work into coming up with everything. Truly down to earth people who love coffee and the community.
