Had a wonderful time at Otaku Lounge! My boyfriend and I stopped by (a little early on a Saturday night - 5pm 😅) and had a wonderful time with our Cowboy bartender chatting all sorts of anime! Thank you for making our first time stopping by a blast! Get your anime recs from the Cowboy if you see him!
Otaku lounge as a breath of fresh air in the nightlife community. So many clubs boast about having a fully inclusive, safe, and fun atmosphere, but fall short. Erick and co Deliver on that promise and so much more.
An anime themed nightclub is the spot Kansas City didn’t know it desperately needed. I am proud of everything they have accomplished and I endorse and recommend them to everybody.
Unwelcoming, unfriendly, and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Nonrefundable rule is ridiculous if you pay $10 at the gate just to leave 3 minutes later. There should be a considerate chance to refund at least within 7 minutes of entry.
Bartender wouldn't even look our way, there is no possible way to get a drink when the bar is full all night. Waiters don't pay you any mind and are typically outside smoking, I had no idea there were waiters at all.

Otaku lounge is a breath of fresh air in the Kansas City nightlife community. The anime themed nightclub is a fully inclusive, safe and fun atmosphere with great music, vibe and friendly people. The bar had good drinks, fun games and awesome Monster High events. Owner and staff are a hoot and add a hoot vibe to the joint birthday celebration vibe. It is a must see spot for people who enjoy having fun.
