Today, I took a group of clients from Alphapointe to the Nelson Atkins Museum. The clients are visually impaired. We completed a tactile tour and a tactile art class. The staff was incredible! The instructors gave verbal descriptions of the building, verbal descriptions of the art, and allowed us to touch the art with gloves. I stopped in after visiting a few galleries at The Nelson Atkins and had a quick, enjoyable latte. The cafe area has a nice view of the north side of the museum and plaza park space. The coffee is good. If you are in need of a quick cup while visiting the museum, stop in!
Coffee shop prices for coffee quality I could just about make at home. Being in the art gallery is a plus but if it was not for that Thou Mayest is not a coffee shop I'd frequent.
