Rudy's Tenampa Taqueria

Rudy’s is a hidden gem. Walking in just looks like a bar but the seating area has decorations that made me think of teotihuacan. The service was quick and friendly and the food was outstanding. We had shrimp tacos and pastor. Sooo good. Also really enjoyed the beans. The chips were light crispy white corn that paired wonderfully with the hot salsa.

I will say this your food is so good! But THE FROZEN MARGARITAS ARE THE BEST! THE BEST BY FAR IN KANSAS CITY! 10/10🔥Also my Sister Ivori sends her love to the owner Rudy! She use to be a liquor rep, and she has nothing but good things to say about the owner Rudy!❤

Everything about this place was really good.

If you’re visiting KC, skip the iconic BBQ places and go get Mexican at Rudy’s!!! This place was so good that we went twice during our weekend trip! The margs were excellent. Fajitas were amazing. The charro beans are delicious. We loved the thin chips, and the salsas were great…the cheese dip was great too! We are looking forward to our next trip to KC so we can eat here again.

The Food was good, but for to-go orders recommend putting the pico de gallo, cheese, and lettuce in separate covered cups like the rice and beans. By the time I got home, those toppings had shifted around in the container. Keeping them in cups would help them stay fresh and make the meal easier to enjoy.

The absolute best Mexican restaurant in Kansas City. They have the best chips. They are always warm and fresh. I have been going here forever. Im pescatarian and they have both beans and rice I can eat....some other places put meat broth in both the beans and rice but they do not.

Dined in a few weeks ago by a customer referral. Food and atmosphere was my kinda space. Staff was great too! Was in the area today after time spent at KU. Called in my order for chicken tacos before leaving KU, and as I walked in to Rudy’s, I was treated very personably and my meal included a grateful treat. The staff member with the 3 kids was very friendly. Could hardly wait to drive the 30 minutes home to tear into my tacos which were incidentally still warm…incredible experience. Thank you!

Quick, & Good!! ((Even on a busy Friday night))

Biggest turnoff was they didnt take cashapp or venmo cards or tap to pay so we had to grab cash . Otherwise it was great food and atmosphere
