Tokyo Japanese Steak House Reviews
Went with a friend, first time trying Japanese food plus seeing it cooked in front of me. The food was good and the service was good, the employees were friendly. It was pretty neat watching it get cooked like that.
This place use to be awesome.
Lataly the drinks are more grenadine then alchaholl.
The cheff was lackluster.
And the bathroom.... needs to be diped in bleach to get rid of the black mold growing up the walls.

The food is decent. Service is good. The place overall is in need of a facelift and a deep cleaning.

Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Kansas City is a popular destination for many. The manager ensures a great dining experience with delicious food, reasonable prices, and attentive staff. The chefs provide entertainment with a show while cooking. Customers enjoy a fun and tasty meal, even the younger ones. The restaurant has a pleasant Japanese home ambiance, though they no longer serve sushi. The water is refreshing, and the soup is reminiscent of childhood chicken noodle soup. The salad is fresh with a unique dressing, and the Hibachi dishes are impressive. The service is friendly and skilled, making the dining experience enjoyable for all.
Customers have praised the food, especially the yellow sauce, and the generous portions. They also appreciate that the restaurant does not charge extra for sharing plates. However, some have noted that the food quality has fluctuated and the prices have increased, leading to disappointment on special occasions. The traditional Japanese menu and the grill-at-your-table experience are highlights, though the restaurant can be pricey and busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are recommended.
