I’ve taken my girlfriend here multiple times and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The service is always fast, friendly, and on point. The staff moves like they’re running a well-oiled sushi machine but still make you feel welcome and taken care of. Last night we were on a waitlist for 45 minutes, and honestly? That just proves how good this place is. You don’t wait almost an hour for mediocre food. When a restaurant is that packed, that consistently, it tells you everything you need to know. People want it. And once you sit down, you understand why. The food is absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented every time. Whether it’s classic rolls or specialty creations, everything tastes like it was made with care. It’s one of those spots where you finish eating and immediately start talking about what you’re ordering next time. I genuinely hope nothing changes because they’ve nailed it. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. It’s a perfect date night spot and one of the best sushi experiences in the area. The only downside, and this has nothing to do with Sushi Ai itself, is walking through the cloud from the pizza place next door where people tend to hang out. That part can be… aromatic. “If you haven’t been to Cellar House yet, you’re missing out. It’s one of those rare spots that feels like a hidden gem — honestly surprised it wasn’t busier on a Friday night.
The bourbon selection is excellent, and they went above and beyond by making a custom Chinese Manhattan for us that wasn’t even on the menu. That kind of flexibility and attention to detail really stands out.
The food is clean, straightforward, and very well executed. The ahi sliders were perfectly seared — wouldn’t change a thing. The fries were crispy, clearly cooked in clean oil, and seasoned just right, paired with a bright, well-balanced aioli. The rigatoni had vibrant, developed flavors — highly recommend keeping it as is without adding meat. It holds its own.
Service was exceptional. We stayed about 30 minutes past closing catching up with a friend and never felt rushed. In fact, they offered another round. That level of hospitality is rare.
The patio ambiance deserves its own mention — relaxing, tucked away, and surprisingly peaceful despite being near a busy road. It’s the perfect spot to sip a bourbon or enjoy a glass of wine and unwind.
They rotate their menu seasonally, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they’re doing.

Me friend ordered the reuben sandwich and commented how good the marbled rye bread was as well as the flavor of the corned beef. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and asked the kitchen to add jalapenos. The wrap came out as ordered and was delicious. One negative: It was a cold day and supplies were being delivered through the back door. Everytime the back door opened freezing air blasted into the dining area. It might be helpful to put an intermediate door on the back hallway that could be closed during deliveries.“

“This was about my 10th visit, and I just had to leave a review! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the staff greets you warmly and makes you feel truly welcome. The decor is absolutely stunning, it feels like you’ve stepped into another country. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is modern, and it’s a perfect spot for anything: business meetings, catching up with friends, or even a date night.

The food? Absolutely incredible. If you love sushi or noodles, you’re going to be blown away. Everything tastes fresh, never oily, and beautifully prepared. The sushi presentation alone is a work of art, it honestly feels like a five-star sushi experience in Japan.

The customer service is top-notch, and both the staff and owner are incredibly kind and always smiling. I’ve tried sushi all over the world, and this is hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

You truly can’t beat the quality, comfort, and price in this area. If you’re in St. Louis, this is THE sushi spot. 10/10; highly recommend!

“We had a death in the family and someone referred OSP Tap House. My boyfriend booked it on a Saturday night and texted all our updates which made it easy for him. They opened their bar area just for us and were super accommodating. We got there earlier than expected and they got everything going and our server Amy killed it! We were all super impressed. They’re were about 30 of us so not an easy task and she did it flawlessly! The service was excellent and she got everything out and drinks refilled as quickly as they were emptied. I wouldn’t expect the best plate you have had, that’s tough in Stl. We have a great Chinese food scene here, but this place is a solid go to if you are in the area.
