Based on the reviews, Wooden Nickle Restaurant offers excellent food and great service in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The sesame coral bacon appetizer is amazing, and the chicken dish stuffed with things and deep fried is delicious. Other menu items include the bbq beef sandwich, lasagna, barbeque brisket and ribs, pork rinds cooked to order, crispy wings, and a perfectly cooked steak. The sweet tea is good. The server is the best part, being very friendly, prompt, and accurate. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, greeting customers before the door closes. The place has several tvs to catch the game, a great happy hour, and a very comfortable atmosphere. It is a gem. There is a dive bar in the back called Woody's that is dimly lit with sticky tables and televisions for sports, while the main restaurant seems bright and cheery. The menu is an odd mix of Americanized Italian food like spaghetti and fried ravioli, barbeque, and Midwestern fare like the tenderloin sandwich. The food quality is mediocre with lots of factory-made items, but the barbeque brisket and ribs are the only thing worth going for.
