Dowds Catfish House Reviews
Food and service was just ok. Got a tea was charged 2.50 . It was so weak tasted like water. So got a Dr.Peper and was charged 2.99 for it. That is so overcharged I think that is wrong. One charge should have been enough. Told the floor Manger, she said o well. That's the way it is.
Very very delicious entrees, creamy corn Dowds sirloin melted in your mouth, catfish had a great batter on it, great service, will stop again when passing through
I'm a stickler for good ribs and these juicy bones were among the BEST. The rub is so tasty you don't need sauce. Sienna took great care of us -and our dogs- on the patio, plenty comfortable. Wonderful blackened chicken. A great discovery on a cross country trip!

Dowds Catfish House offers a family-friendly atmosphere and a variety of dishes that appeal to many. The catfish lunch combo remains a popular choice, served with pinto beans, coleslaw, and fried okra. Other options include the pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, and cheesy fries. Recent reviews highlight the delicious catfish, which has a lighter breading than some places, and the huge pieces of fried shrimp. The menu also features pulled chicken nachos, butterfly shrimp, fries, and hush puppies, all of which have received positive feedback. While some dishes may not meet everyone's taste, the food is generally well-cooked and the service is friendly. The restaurant provides a kids menu and is accessible for those with disabilities. Though the wait time can sometimes be longer, the decent prices and quick, nice service make it a place worth visiting, even for those just passing through.
