“Great place to eat and you’re friends the first time there.“

“We were on a river trip to see our beautiful bald eagles, from St. Peter's MO. Stopped at different lock and dams/ places to see them. We came across this wonderful place. Home made food to order. You have to wait for your food, if you order from the menu. (which isn't too long) Or get the best buffet. Everything is wonderful . loved all of the pictures and stuff. All of the workers are wonderful.“

“We discovered Hopewell wine at an antique store in Gilman. We decided to visit the winery a couple weeks ago. That turned out to be a great decision. The Hopewell Winery is a hidden gem.

The host (K)Caitlyn was awesome!! She welcomed us with open arms and catered to our every need. We tasted numerous wines and enjoyed conversation with Caitlyn and other friendly customers. This really made our experience a lot of fun. To our delight, all the wine was great tasting! We purchased many bottles.

We highly recommend a visit to Hopewell Winery if you are looking for excellent winery. We will be back.

“I am not from the area, but was working outside of town. Went in to Southside for 11am lunch. There were a few people in there and plenty of seating.
Ordered a cheeseburger, fries and slaw, while sitting at the bar.
Waitress was great, the food was great (see my photos) and a laid back atmosphere.
Do Not Be Scared to walk in!
It is right across the street from courthouse on the town square.
