“I was never much of a fan of Indian food, but Flavors has changed my mind. I have enjoyed several dishes, and have enjoyed expanding my tastes. I stay with Mostly chicken as I'm not a big fan of Lamb. but also have enjoyed several of the vegetable dishes, and always order enough to take some home for the next day...honestly after 24 hours in the fridge the flavors meld and I find it very enjoyable. While the decor is pretty plain (what indian or asian restaurant isn't?) it is very clean and the servers have always been prompt polite and accommodating. Last but certainly important is there are a lot of customers of Indian descent. Go try it and enjoy expanding your tastes.“

“Great service and the most delicious Indian food in the St Louis area. Their Gobi 65 was amazing, as was the chicken tandoori, very juicy and tender. The chef spwcial noodles were very good. The garlic naan and island bread were both amazing. The best chicken tikka masala, and the apricot delight was a great way to end the meal.

Service was great, great atmosphere, and the owner stopped by and talked to us and provided delicious recommendations.“

“Had a great meal with the family. We had Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Spice Mantra Special Chicken Curry. Delicious! I had a Mango Lassi, which was sweet and refreshing. We had an appetizer of spring rolls and they were great. Our spice levels ranged from 1 to 3 and we were all happy.“

“My husband and I have been to this place several times now because it is just so good. Vegan dishes are clearly labeled. My husband has celiac and hasn’t had a reaction to the food. I’ve never actually liked dosa before, to be honest. Others I’ve tried are super greasy. These dosa are not. Also had some wonderfully spiced curries. It makes it hard to choose.“

“Every item we ordered was delicious! If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out! Husband says best Chicken 65 hes had, and best Butter Chicken EVER. Our kids love everything they've tried!“

“We had a really good experience here. We tried the breakfast combo, appam with mutton stew, and porotta with chicken curry. Everything was good, and the service was friendly and attentive.

The mutton gravy was flavorful, and the mutton itself was very tender. I just wish the meat had absorbed a little more of the gravy’s flavor. The filter coffee was also really good. The chikoo shake, however, was a little too milky and didn’t have much chikoo flavor.

Overall, a good place for south-indian food, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.“

“I have been stopping at China in Bombay every time I pass through the St. Louis area for years, and it continues to be a reliable favorite.

This visit was no exception. The beef pho was outstanding. The broth was deeply flavorful, hearty, and comforting, and the portion size was enormous. Easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I would go out of my way to order again.

I also tried the cashew shrimp and the Szechuan chicken sticks. While I personally would have preferred the shrimp fried rather than stir fried, and the chicken sticks actually served on a stick, both dishes were still very tasty and well seasoned. The flavors were bold and satisfying, even if they were slightly different from what I expected.

The food quality here is consistently excellent, and the flavors feel authentic rather than watered down. A major plus for me is that the food is halal, which makes this a dependable stop every time I am in the area.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The space itself is small, but that is well known, and most people opt for takeout. Even so, dining in was still a pleasant experience.

China in Bombay remains a must stop for me whenever I am passing through St. Louis. Great food, generous portions, authentic flavors, and friendly service. Highly recommended.“
