My family and I took a short weekend trip to get away and take our kids to the St. Louis Zoo. After looking through several restaurant options we close The Blue Duck. Honestly, the menu looked great, but I'm a sucker for restaurants with weird names. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the bacon fat fries, made the regular fries taste amateur. Wowzers! My fourth time here, but first time reviewing, and I have to say that there really isn't a bad thing on their menu. It has all been fantastic, including brunch. In addition to knocking it out of the park with their food AND in house made desserts, their bar puts out some fantastic cocktails - Perfectly executed classics and some creative, wizardry crafted original cocktails. Five starts in every way! Adorable space, impeccable service, and delightful food and drink! I brought a friend and two older adults. We each had something different--biscuits and gravy, the stuffed French toast, and a burger. Everyone loved everything. We also had drinks. I love my gin and tonic and the black pepper and? Bloody Mary was delicious. I also took some sandwich cookies and some gooey butter cake home! Perfection! I can't wait to come back to the Blue Duck!
