“I’ve heard of Equal Minded in the past, but recently a friend hosted an event there and it was great! The space was easy to set up in, the coffee and snacks were great & the customer service. Since then, if I am in the area and I need to get work done, it’s becoming more of a place to pop into. The more I get to know about what they offer and the small businesses they support, the more I enjoy becoming a customer there. I also really like that they have some Sugar Free options & I really like their Honey Lavender Matcha too!“

The food was amazing, but I loved the words on your menu and the whole vibe that comes from locally sourced goods. Your menu spoke of kindness and community. I accidentally left my phone in your bathroom when I left. Since we were on our way back to Chicago it was definitely something I needed to find and it could have been a completely stressful experience. It wasn’t. You weren’t just serving up food. I went out to the car so my friend could call my son and have him find my iPhone the thing but we never got to that. A lovely gentleman in a blue track jacket came knocking gleefully at the window. They had found it and he was so happy to tell me. When I came back in to get it your restaurant was packed and it was very busy and yet I felt like every person there had just stopped everything for a moment to find my phone. The excitement when they gave it back to me was amazing. It was a truly beautiful experience. I totally had the New York omelette, but what I was really ordering was the “cultivate kindness” printed right there on the menu. It was even better than the food and that’s saying something because those rosemary potatoes were the bomb diggity ;) Thank you 💙♥️💙“

“Very loud restaurant, the food was decent but charging $6 for the same exact coffee you pay $2 for at any gas station is crazy. The prices here are not budget friendly...We ordered 2 coffees, 2 pancakes and an omelet and it came to $50... how? idk.“

“Jim and the team there care, a rare commodity in this day and age. A friend of mine accidentally left behind his son’s teddy bear, 6 waitresses and Jim studied the picture and took down our numbers. Jim was in the back, one of the waitresses (wish I knew her name) said to hold on that Jim would want to be involved. Think about that, a waitress willingly involving a manager, and the manager CARED. 10/10 would recommend, good food, better people. I wish this business nothing but the best. 🙏“

“My husband and I took three of our kids to this location yesterday for lunch. We’d never been to a First Watch before, but we knew to expect excellent quality food with a healthy, comforting twist; right up my alley! WOW! We were SO impressed! From our initial greeting coming into the restaurant all the way to the end of our visit, we were treated with happy smiles, incredible customer service, prompt wait times, and delicious meals. Our kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes with sausage and bacon. Their protein selections were unmatched with appropriately larger portions than most, enough to satisfy two growing boys! They couldn’t say enough about the flavor and quality. My husband and I tried dishes including hash potatoes, fresh market veggies, beautifully cooked eggs, and their whole grain toast - that was a treat! As someone who isn’t a fan of toast, in general, making a meal out of this whole grain toast, house-made butter and preserves would be easy to do. Lovely atmosphere, obvious camaraderie among the staff, fun culture, exceptional product! We left happy and eager to experience First Watch again very soon. Thank you to Daniel and his team for making our first visit a memorable one!“

“Breakfast was delicious. The pancakes have something special in the batter--I don't know if they add a little malt to them or what, but they were really good. Daughter had the biscuits and gravy. She said the biscuits were so fluffy! Waitress said they make it all homemade. speaking of the waitress, I think her name was Lova, the service was so warm and welcoming. We'll be back.“

“Went there today after a long day at KU Med. Staff were absolutely amazing! Beyond friendly and helpful especially being from our if town and not know much about KC. Food came quick and was just as awesome as their customer service. If you want a good meal and a bunch of friendly smiling faces this is the place to go! Managers were awesome as well! Nicest ihop I have ever been to hands down! We will be at KU for a while and we will forsure have to make another visit!“

“The service at this location was impeccable. It was an afternoon meal and the 2 servers were busy and friendly and attentive to their customers. The young man serving us is a treasure. Unfortunately, the food was mostly undercooked. The over medium eggs were over easy. The bacon was floppy and very undercooked. The saysage links were browned only on one side, and floppy. The hash browns had only a few browned speckles on one side. The biscuit was incredible! I've never been anywhere which prepared biscuits like I do at home! I call them biscuit chips and dunk them, lol. I think the undercooked food was probably a new cook fearful of overcooking things which then have to be thrown out. I'm sure his confidence will improve. Please note, our server was among the best I've had.“
