Best place around! My husband and I came in Friday night, and I had the best steak ever. Everything was perfect. I can’t wait to come back!
We were in this past Saturday (7/5/25) and it was quite busy. Our server did a wonderful job for our table of four + a 2 year old. The entire staff was pleasant and polite and the food was excellent! I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area. We will definitely be back the next time we are camping at Mark Twain Lake. Well done, all!
Awesome food! I was pleasantly surprised when I came in. I had the makers mark burger that had a delicious sauce and the sweet potato fries. The burger was flame grilled and fried had a delicious sweet potato dipping sauce. 10/10 would recommend.

The Rustic Oak Cabin Steakhouse is an incredible place in the Mark Twain Lake area. The food is seasoned perfect and served at proper temperatures. The country fried steak with gravy can be cut with a fork, and the fried catfish is phenomenal. The prime rib special is delicious and priced great. Everyone is so friendly, and the staff are super pleasant. The atmosphere is awesome, and the service is great. The wait time to be seated can be a little long, but it is absolutely worth the wait. They do not serve any alcohol. They give you a lot of food, though some may prefer smaller portions with a lower price. It is a wonderful place to eat out in the middle of nowhere and a great place to go after being at the lake all day.
