Based on the reviews, Mead Hall / Swarm Brewing Company is a fantastic new addition to St. Charles. The cocktails are amazing, and the Hazy IPA Run the Jules is smooth and balanced. The selection of drinks is top notch, and the coffee drinks are really really good. A current favorite is the complex yet balanced flavors of the Cherry Chipotle Mead. The staff are so nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is fun, warm, and inviting. They have a couple food options, including delicious empanadas by Tango and fire Vegetarian pizzas by Erbe's mushroom farm. During brunches and special events, they have charcuterie. The restaurant also hosts local live events, live music, karaoke, trivia, and various shows. Pin ball machines, board games, and a pool table are a bonus. It is pretty pricey, but overall the drinks are amazing.
