The District Sports & Social is described as one of the best places in New Town to eat, drink, and be merry. The music is great, the drinks are poured heavy, and the food consistently exceeds expectations. Menu favorites include wings, pizza, fries, burgers, fried tacos, chicken Ceasars wrap, salads, truffled fries, and a kids pizza. The wings are exactly as ordered, the fried tacos are just like Jack n the box, and the burgers are amazing—the cooks really know what they are doing. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and always delivers excellent service, with the wait staff stopping by multiple times to check on guests and refresh drinks, and the staff has also made recommendations for drinks and food items. The owner is approachable and aims to please. The place offers a patio and high chairs for kids, making it a great spot for lunch. The decor is upscale yet not pretentious, modern but never stuffy, with a polished granite bar, big TVs tuned to the game, a game area with slot machines, and perfect lighting. Parking is on the street, and since the Wine Bar is so close, parking is sometimes limited. Walking in feels like stepping into a buddy's house, warm and laid-back, where guests are genuinely welcomed.
