Great spot for traditional Cajun food in St. Louis. Never been a place all that concerned with the details so if you expect an attentive waitstaff or even bubbles in your club soda it's probably not for you. But the food is worth it despite the minor annoyances.
We (4 of us) started with the Voodoo Shrimp & Crabcakes and they were both delicious! Next were entrees of Jambalaya, Gumbo & Catfish fritter all delicious! I had the white sangria and it was very tasty as well. Great evening was had by all & we are looking forward to our next visit.
Really great ambience. They would like to think that their food is as good as NOLA and it is very good but not on a level with NOLA. If you have never been to New Orleans BOB is terrific.
As a tourist this wouldn't be a place that I'd visit again nor recommend for tourist. Maybe for locals. It's a dingy/dirty and claustrophobic place, I particular dont like that vibe. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The service was great though and the food although not my preference was hot.
Oyster bar employees are starting to show signs of racism unfortunately sitting the Afro American customers separately from the white customers I once was a loyal customer until seeing the blatant racism I wont be returning and definitely will be spreading the word to others via social media

A very unique place. The food was delicious! The white sauce was on point. They gave more meat than noodles! At first glance, you'd walk past this place but do not be deterred by the appearance on the outside. The inside is very simply put together but clean and inviting! The waitress was kind and very attentive. The whole experience was great! Priced perfectly for the quality of food.

Dec 2025: STL's original party bar with live music. Cajun style food and regular bar food too, and it's all pretty good. Highly recommended experience!

This was the highlight of our eating experience in St Louis. Alligator cheesecake and shrimp and grits were super rich and gave both my wife and I heartburn, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The food is always top tier and the environment is very laid back. Great menu with better alligator than you can get in the south. The inside bar is chill with a family-oriented lower dining area. Lots of memorabilia on the walls to look at. The outside bar area has live music with Great bartenders. We'll be back soon.
Great place and great people!

Not sure what the hype is about. The food was very mediocre and nowhere near real cajun. Everything tasted like tomato and that’s about it. It was also super salty. Service was good but food was pretty bad.
