Cafe Telegraph Smoke Shack Reviews
We had a memorial service at Cafe Telegraph for my mom after her service at Jefferson Barricks.
We had arrived earlier than expected, but that was not a problem. They greeted us were friendly. The service was great. The food was delicious. very accommodating, a good value for the money.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Ate at Cafe Smoke Shack recently. The food was fantastic. Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. Giant portions, well prepared & we were all extremely pleased with our meal. "Stan, Matt & Marlowe were charming and cordial to all. The owner (Matt/Chef) is one of the nicest and most hospitable folks you'll ever want to meet. Truly cares about his customers. Before the pandemic the food was good and service was great. Recently we had multiple orders incorrect and the lack of knowledge the staff has is mind blowing. Hopefully they get it together soon.

Cafe Telegraph Smoke Shack, located in South County, is a hidden gem serving up a variety of dishes from pizza to BBQ. The local-themed menu pays homage to nearby schools and churches. The Gringo cheese dip is a must-try, and the service, like that provided by Toni, is top-notch. Despite being busy, the staff handles the rush well. The smoked wings and sandwiches, including the SLU High Brisket and the Foxhole cheesesteak, are flavorful and juicy. The sweet potato fries are recommended over the regular fries. The Fred Flintstone Pork Steak is a standout dish, and the Nerinx Hall Beer Battered Mushrooms are a crowd favorite. The fried mushrooms and chicken tenders with panko breading are also popular, with huge portions and great taste. With ample parking and accessibility for all, it's the perfect spot to enjoy delicious food outdoors. The owner is friendly and engaging, adding to the welcoming atmosphere, making it well worth a visit. Kid-friendly options like the kids' chicken make it a great choice for families.
