Ordered through Uber Eats. Can’t rate service or atmosphere, only food. The greens were horrendous. The brisket was roast beef with more than 50% fat. We need a good soul food restaurant in St Louis.
The staff couldn't be any nicer. They were ver personable. One of the cooks came out and replaced a whole pan of chicken because he said the new one looked better. Everything looked so good, I bought 2 dinners. A customer waiting for her food, sad she buys at Mom ‘s frequently cause she no longer cooks and this food was the real deal. I bought oxtails and smothered pork chop. The decor hasn’t been updated but that’s the charm. It reminded me of the good soul food restaurants...
What really made this experience stand out was the love and care that went into every dish. You can tell that the chefs are passionate about soul food and its history, and that they're dedicated to sharing that passion with every plate that goes out.
