At the First Missionary Baptist Church of Vandalia.“

“My man wanted Mack's chicken, which is next door. I didn't want chicken. I get tired of it. I saw soul food Cafe and was hoping they were open. They were! I was happy with the choice change and we dined inside. Got the pork chop sandwich and he got the smothered pork chop dinner with Mac and Sweet potato. Everything was hot and delicious. And the Kool aid was good and cold.“

“I got the fried catfish, it was so hard if I threw it at the wall it would have put a hole in it. The sweet potatoes were from a can, no nutmeg, just sweet, the mac and cheese had some bacon or something in it that was crunchy. Cabbage was mushy, fried chicken had no seasoning to it, the bake chicken was just wet. For $70.00, do not waste your money or time. A hard No!“

“Very cool spot!!! 1st time customer and will most definitely be coming back!!! The owner got me together and the food was amazing! Got the Munchie fries and a Crunchberry milkshake!!! “I don't think a lot of people are leaving a review for this place cuz they're too stuffed and tired they're taking a nap after they eat here. I went to a graduation today and it was catered by your guys and I have never had food like this at a graduation party this was delicious everything had flavor it didn't taste like cardboard cutout catering food we had chicken wings we had pork steaks we had lasagna (that was my favorite) mac and cheese mashed potatoes that melt in your mouth (my favorite) collard greens corn on the cob collard greens. there was no one but no one walking away hungry it was so delicious everything just melted in your mouth you could have heard a pin drop while everyone was eating well you did hear a lot of, that's good, what restaurant is this?, where is this place located, oh my gosh I'm stuffed, I'm going to let this settle and I'm going back up for some more.... heard a lot of that ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was a guest today but I plan on being a customer real soon thank you to everyone today for the great food if you got a hanger in for something good I recommend this place you cannot go wrong thank you for taking the time to read my review every bit and every word of this is true have a great day“

“We've been going to this family business for many years. They have stayed the course, friendly, caring, great service, great food and great prices. A blessing to our community to have a black own family business like this for over 50 years.

“Wasn't our first choice. Fortunately for us a new discovery of fantastic cuisine so delicious I had to order an additional entree to take home. Turkey chops were excellent, the chicken and steak Philly , the salmon croquettes with all the sides all excellent. Will definitely be back.

“Diner Delight. The baked chicken was great and the pork chop on side. Sweet potato and dressing was good but wasn’t feeling the greens. Maybe you guys should try mix greens and I love the pound cake when they do have it. Diner delight have some nice folks working there. No complaints“
“OMG! Rich Friends Kitchen came THROUGH for us!!! We had a last minute situation with the caterer for our event and needed to have brunch for 60 people in less than 48 hours. Chef AP was able to squeeze us in at the last minute, delivered the food on time, and it was DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend!“

“There is only one reason to come to this restaurant because you want really good food. The catfish fillets, Mac and mostaciolli were excellent. The candied yams however we're not living their best life. But based on everything else that I ate I will definitely be back“

“I came to visit St Louis and saw a video of this place on TikTok, and we got the oxtails with cabbage and yams which are so tasty the meat is very tender. My wife got the rib tips, Mac and yams and the Mac was amazing very cheesy. Definitely the place to check out“

“Hands down best food we had on our entire vacation! Fall-off-the-bone BBQ chicken, best friend catfish I think I've ever had, and OMG you have to try the baked beans!!!!! Fabulous, welcoming, friendly staff and environment. Highly recommend, and will definitely be stopping by every time we pass through St. Louis (we're from Texas, but travel a few times a year).“
