Really good new American food. Plenty of natively vegan options that are savory and satisfying.

Been enjoying The Royale most weeks since 2015. Best bar and restaurant in town. A gem. Chill tavern vibes, DJs, local art, gorgeous courtyard, old movies, vinyl records, and a stellar menu. Owner Steve is the best. Get the fish tacos, a fresh margarita, a local beer, or whatever you’re into. Hell, I’m about to head there right now writing this review. I’m not even joking.

So very glad this gem was suggested to us by a local! And we were very lucky to hit a quieter time in the afternoon following a lovey Botanical Garden visit. Such a unique twist of offerings and most, if not vegetarian already, could be adjusted to vegan and GF choices. The food was excellent, the mocktails delicious! A gorgeous outdoor patio with a most artistic fire pit to enjoy the S’mores dessert. I will be back as I can’t wait to try another menu choice!

Late night hang out spot for decent cocktails with an artsy outdoor garden space to chill. I don't recommend the food but nice for a summer night hangout after hours.

There was definitely a time when The Royale was easily a 5-star bar, but over the past few years some changes have been made that I'm personally not crazy about. The menu has changed, while good, is less than it used to be. The patio has been redesigned and feels much more cramped than before, and no longer allows smoking. The service remains good, and the drinks remain stellar. This used to be my default go-to spot, and unfortunately some of the changes have left me searching elsewhere. By no means is it a place to be avoided, though.

Disappointed with my experience. First time there and loved the food and drinks. They have a two hour limit for tables when there’s a wait, which is 100% fair, but after we’d been there only 50 minutes (we double checked our arrival time) a staff member came over to us and informed us about the two hour policy. We let her know we understood but had only been there about 50 minutes (and honestly would have ordered more drinks and dessert if given the chance) and she said she’d been told otherwise by another staff member and we needed to go. We did and enjoyed the atmosphere and food but just a rather inhospitable experience that seemed to result from a miscommunication that wasn’t on us.

Greatly enjoyed our dinner and drink here. The food and service were outstanding. The fire pits outside were wonderful. Nice landscaping.A few issues that could be better: parking is street parking on a side street and accessibility. While there is a ramp to the front door, there are no tables in the inside dining room that can accommodate a person in a wheelchair. Also the higher chairs and tables are a challenge to those with balance issues and those who use other mobility devices such as a cane or walker. The prices seemed about $2-$3 higher for items that are at other similar establishments.I think we will return, but we will need to plan and gauge our finances accordingly.Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options.Parking: Parking is available on a quieter side street but is limited.Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: While there is a ramp at the front entrance, the dining room lacks tables that are at the appropriate height. The owner offered that they could bring in a table from the patio and set it up for a diner in a wheelchair.
