Couples' dinner Sunday, February 15th. Busy to say the least. I made reservations 1st of February for 5p. We arrived 5 minutes before. People standing in front of counter waiting for their names to be announced not moving to allow others up to the counter. By the time we got to the counter it was now 5:10p. I’m very disappointed. We had reservations on Christmas Eve at 7pm!! We still weren’t seated at 735. We decided to leave and go down the street to our favorite restaurant Napoli2 and got right in!! The excuse they gave was extremely overbooked and understaffed! I totally understand being understaffed but being overbooked is unacceptable!! I have been to the restaurant a couple of times and had good experiences. I have even ordered food on UberEats and it was good until today. I ordered the prime sandwich and it is always awesome! The side however was ridiculous. French fries do not travel well and the other sides didn’t sound good so I got the fruit. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is a very nice restaurant and winery. The food is great, with salads that are divine, delicious burgers, and perfect salmon and tuna dishes. The wine is superb, and the service is fast and pleasant. The atmosphere is perfect. Wine tastings are superb, with knowledgeable and kind staff who explain all the different wines and make great recommendations. Servers are always smiling, helpful, and attentive, bringing extra pretzel bread and special birthday desserts. The overall experience is excellent and top notch. However, one location has too many tables in the section near the kitchen, making it difficult for late arrivals and service, and the dining room experience at the St. Peters location is preferred.
