Cod sandwich is great. Large portions, nicely fried. Like their broasted chicken, wish they offered a spicy version. Excellent choice of white or dark meat. Great sides. They're known for their pizza but I often get their other menu choices. Great value, too.
So upon the insistence of my friend, went to try Frank and Helen's, which is apparently an institution in University City. It's been open since 1956 and it's in its fourth ownership.They're known for their pizza and their chicken that they don't call fried Chicken.. but it's instead known as "Broasted Chicken". Was excited to try an STL OG pizza place! The pizza itself was very good but very filling! Great pricing for how much pie you actually get. We brought leftovers home. It is STL style but you can also order the "thicker" option. I preferred the regular thin crust option. The crust was a bit charred for my preference but still good.
