“I don’t normally review fast food. I review restaurants. I also haven’t eaten at a McDonald’s in probably five years, and I’ve never been particularly impressed by McDonald’s in general. That said, this is a newly constructed location, roughly six months old, and a coworker whose opinion I trust very much told me this was by far the best McDonald’s he had ever eaten at. By miles. So I decided to give it a try.

We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal and a triple cheeseburger meal with medium fries. Sitting here at lunchtime on a Monday, snapping a few photos, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. The cheeseburger looks like a McDonald’s cheeseburger, but it actually tastes good. More importantly, I don’t feel ill eating it. The fries had to have come straight out of the fryer. Fresh, hot, and done right.

It was busy, but there was no wait. Everyone was moving with purpose. Once things were caught up, instead of standing around, staff were sweeping, wiping tables, and keeping the place clean. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the operation felt well run and dialed in.

I may not ever eat at another McDonald’s again. I’m not saying I’ll come here all the time, but if I am eating McDonald’s, it will be this one. I’m thoroughly impressed. Good job, McDonald’s. Keep this up and there just might be a future for the Golden Arches.“

“We always enjoy coming in and sitting at the bar when Shame is working. She is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always has such a great attitude. She makes you feel welcome the moment you sit down and always makes sure everything is taken care of. In the past we didn’t really care much for Ruby Tuesday, but now we know if we sit at the bar and Shame is there, we’re going to have a great experience every time. The food was great as well.“
