“In town from Ohio for the UD-SLU game and arrived at Blue Jay Brewing 45 minutes before scheduled opening (unknowingly). Our first time there based on a recommendation down near Pappy’s. Jay saw us outside, pulling on a locked door, and invited us in. The beer was very good - I had the Monarch, a Munich style Dunkel. Jay and his wife are doing it right. Recommend you make this one of your stops while in town. GO FLYERS!“

“So the smash burger is great and the fries are cooked in what tastes like beef tallow, but that’s not what you’re here for. The beers are incredibly well-made and unlike anything else I’ve ever had before. This is one of the very few places where asking what their weirdest beer is might lead to you drinking something you can only find in a monastery text. Absolutely an incredible place with super knowledgeable staff who will help you navigate their beers.“
“We experienced the Clydesdale VIP tour yesterday and highly recommend it. Our guide was Randy and he did a fabulous job of sharing information regarding the history of Anheuser-Busch and how the Clydesdales became part of their iconic signature. The biggest thrill of the tour was meeting Lester, a semi retired former lead horse on a Clydesdale team. We were able to able to talk to him, pet him and take photos with him. It was a dream come true experience!“
“We did the Day Fresh tour on a Thursday morning (10:30am) in June. The tour lasted about 90 minutes with several stops during the tour. We visited the Clydesdale horses and stable, fermenting and bottling buildings, sampled beer while we learned about the ingredients in Budweiser beer, took a trolley ride back to the staring place, and ended the tour with a 20oz draft as part of the tour. Also part of the Day Fresh tour, everyone over 21 was given a bottle of beer that had been bottled less than 24 hours before. This tour was great-make sure to spend time in the gift shop after the tour. So many fun gifts and souvenirs. Highly recommend!!

“Second shift brewing is such a fantastic hidden gem tucked away in an industrial park. It may not be the most glamorous location, but it’s absolutely the prime spot. The outdoor area is great, and the inside is incredibly clean, spacious, and welcoming. Dogs are allowed both inside and outside, which makes it even better. The beer is excellent, the Hefeweizen, especially stood out as one of the best I’ve had. I didn’t realize they serve food, and wow, they really did deliver. The menu is small, but full of great options, and the Shrimp sandwich I ordered was amazing. Definitely a must visit and easily one of my favorite breweries.“

“Their hot honey pizza is one of the best overall pizza’s I have tasted in STL. Great wood fired crust, great ingredients, and great taste. Order it. It won’t disappoint and wash it down with one of their fantastic beers!“
“We were visiting St. Louis for a couple of days and found this gem not far from our Airbnb. After a long drive a cold beer was in order and this brewery did not disappoint. They also have some really good Sours and one that is aged in a Chardonnay barrel, it was sooo good!“

“Little embarrassed to say this was my first time here considering I'm a STL native. Really great place to come chill. Watch a game or take a brewery tour. Food was great. Beers were great as always. The service was exceptional. Can't wait to get back.“

“Second time is the charm. Tried to come here a few years ago and it was packed so we walked away. Very surprised to see parking lot with a number of empty spaces and tables available on the patio on a 70F night. We were seated right away. Beer choices were good. Some selections are unique on tap. There were a few seasonal pumpkin/fall selections as well. Food is fine. I had the goat cheese pizza with apples and roasted onion toppings. It was good. Husband liked his burger with beer basted bacon. The waitress was attentive and the patio is very nice.“

“Loved the experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially River. This was our first time here and they offered great advice and recommendations on beer and food. We had stopped at another place on the area and were disappointed with their service and the overall atmosphere. That was very different at Rockwell. We were greeted promptly and we just loved the casual laid back atmosphere. Also you have to try the chicken oysters - flavorful tender chicken morsels on skewers.“
