Our guide Mark is a retired history and he taught us so much about the history of STL and the A&B dynasty. It was pure joy for us to be on a tour with someone who LOVES his job. We also had never heard that Busch said he was in the business of making friends but it rings true across his employees!!“
“Great new brewery that opened downtown. They are not serving food out of a kitchen yet, but they serve pretzels (delish), and they get a bbq food truck every weekend. Beers were great, and the customer service was awesome. They also have a huge patio in the back for big groups, and sitting when you want to eat on bbq weekends. One last caveat, the t-shirts are cool, simple designs with great colors.“
“We were visiting from Australia and had long planned to visit this brewery. We did the tour and it was really fun and informative. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. The clydesdales were awesome. I tried some good beers. I bought a cool shirt but lost it somewhere between the Uber and checking out of the hotel so that was a downer...“

Stuart, the owner, answered all my questions and met with us several times before the big day to discuss our needs. This is a small business, so you will not get an entire waitstaff or suit-and-tie aesthetics (hopefully, you already knew that). You do get real people who listen, support a small business, don't break the bank, and get to have a unique, beautiful, earthy, and urban wedding venue. The staff is always genuinely friendly and the sandwiches at TriState are clutch. I've been here 100x and happy to have them in my neighborhood - it's worth the trek from anywhere in STL!“
“I’m giving everything five stars because the food and beer were good and the staff excellent, save one a-hole manager. Basically we were there on a busy running club night, and as a family of 4 having just arrived to St. Louis looking for dinner, we popped into Heavy Riff to give it a try. We waited in line with everyone else at the “front counter” and a lovely female bartender waited on us and let us know we could grab a table and then she’d help us on the side of the bar where it’d be less hectic for us to order (since we had kids in tow). This was very thoughtful and accommodating of her in the masses of young runners. We met her there and she offered great advice on what to order for kids (spice levels) and as a vegetarian. We were about halfway through ordering when Rick (I got his name later since he ruined the vibe of our experience) butted in and told her she was supposed to be taking orders at the front counter not side bar (about 4 feet away) and said she had to get back there. By his command she had to leave us hanging to wait for the “proper” bartender to take our order which was a few minutes later. He didn’t offer to help. Meanwhile as the staff was slammed with orders this Rick jerk just stood in the back and reined over the staff. He didn’t lift a finger. Even later when I went to settle the tab at the bar he stood at his throne position in the back scrolling, messaging on his phone. (Super unprofessional) I was standing right next to him and he didn’t ask if he could help me. I sure hope Rick isn’t the owner because if he is I would hope employees would quit. Rather, to the owner, it is time to find yourself a new manager as Rick is useless and frankly ruined the good energy we had going. I felt for the staff that had to deal with his power trip. Though we are staying fairly close by, we won’t be back.“
“I've been coming here long enough without including a review that I felt it was time.I moved away from the area many years ago and recently moved back and started exploring the St. Louis craft scene. Perennial did not exist when I left, but several folks whom I work with recommended the spot.I don't always love the styles that Perennial presents, but can appreciate the consistency and representation of the style that is brewed by the company. You can tell that the quality is excellent and that Perennial is putting its signature on the beer.The taproom takes up the entire bottom floor of a loft building and has a cool vibe. There is a large outdoor area that is wonderful during warm weather and firepits for when it is chilly outside. Inside, there are ample amounts of seating options.What really sells the place for me is the staff. I typically travel around with my family and they always treat my kids very well. You can tell that the owners or brewers have children and bring them around here as it is equipped for kids to have some enjoyment as well. Particular highlights of staffing include Emily and Peggy, but everyone has been excellent.“
“Lovely patio with plenty of seating, dog and kid friendly and a variety of Side Project beer, soda, or cocktails in a can to choose from. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and an added bonus is Pizza Champ shares the same space. Pizza and beer is a perfect combination. It is currently decorated for Halloween and they will be hosting some Halloween themed events. Go enjoy the patio before it gets walls up for the winter!“
“Got to samples a few beers and got great information from the very knowledgeable and pleasant folks about their brews. The 5 of us shared flash fried Brussel sprouts before I had a hefeweizen and their Irish Red Ale and a yummy salad. Everyone enjoyed their beer and food. Try it folks!!“
“Out enjoying beautiful mid 70’s weather in the Lou. Popped into Modern Brewery. They always have a bourbon barreled aged beer. This time it wasn’t on tap, had to settle out of the can. Nonetheless Mornin’ Mornin’ didn’t disappoint and to make it even better they did pour it up in a fancy glass. My hubs enjoyed their Oops! All Motueka. We did order some snacks to sop up our beer. My old faithful is the pepperoni pizza bread - delicious every time!! We also got the bacon cheese fries. They were okay. The fries on their own tasty. And who can be mad at bacon. The cheese however, was very lacking. In taste and oddly - texture. It was grainy and bland. Overall we loved sitting out on their newly added patio and enjoying the day. Cheers!! “Great selection of beers. Cool atmosphere. Terrible wings.Came here for Wing Week. I’m going to chalk these puppies up to acquired taste. They were sour. They tasted too heavily of beer to be enjoyable. If this kind of thing is your bag then I’m sure you’ll love them. I also didn’t care for the hard, crunchy, layer of breading. Breading is supposed to be light and crispy.2.1/10 Clucks only because the chicken itself seemed like it was cooked properly and of high quality. The sauce rendered them inedible for me, personally. Can’t win ‘em all.“
“I went here for the Day Fresh Tour and it was so good! The tour is 1 hour and 15 minutes and I hardly could tell it was that long. During this tour, you learn a lot about their history and operations. There will be some walking on the tour and some drastic temperatures but at least our guide warned us before entering those areas. Also, you get two free beers during the tasting as well as a beer made that day to take with you. Definitely a nice tour to enjoy while in St. Louis.“
“It's a very intimate, casual tasting room for MKNZ's indie brews. Shout out to the young lady tending bar, who made us feel less awkward standing at the bar for a bit, by being so genuinely friendly and helpful. Loved that she made an effort to chat with everyone. Making everyone immediately feel welcome is one of the most important things a bar can do to keep us coming back. ?We started off with a Dark Skies IPA and a Rye, then followed up with tastings. Of the tastings, the Cream Ale was my fave, very clean. I'd definitely go back for another Dark Skies IPA, which was like the smoothest love child of a stout and not-too-citrusy IPA.“

“I’ve had some of their beers at some craft beer bars, but I finally had a chance to check out the brewery in person. This is a massive brewery with a fun bier-hall like atmosphere. They mostly make good tasting German style beers. It has German style food as well as good tasting pizza. Unfortunately, they didn’t have flights, but they do have half pours for some of their beers.“

“The bottle works is a great place to experience the wide variety of Schlafly’s beers! There’s a huge merch section and great areas to accommodate groups of friends. The outdoor patio is a perfect place for a cold beer on summer day. They also host a ton of different events throughout the year.“

Enjoyed the new in-house food menu.Bit of a bummer that the tarot reader on 1/24 spent about an hour with a single person, so we weren't able to have an opportunity for ours, which was the reason we chose to go that night. (Instagram listed readings would be limited to 10 minutes.) Rockwell can't be faulted for the tarot reader though.Would definitely return for food or other events.“

“Not quite ready to end my Monday, I stopped at Perennial for a beer and a small bite. Very busy tonight but there was an open table in the corner (and bonus - a power outlet!) where I sat. I was able to order a beer and the olives appetizer and sit for an hour or so before I was ready to head onwards.It's a comfy space and a little boisterous. A nice vibe for a local beer establishment and they do have a full menu.Parking: Street parking in front. Don't block driveways or fire hydrants!“
