Went there for brunch on Sunday, and they were closed. With a sign right inside the door that said brunch 9am-3pm on Sunday. There is no sign of being unable to serve, no post on any social media platforms about what or why. Went somewhere else and at 2pm, passed it again to see if it ever opened and still closed.I've been to the Grove location when they were open, absolutely loved it! I have no doubt the food is fantastic. I just wish there was more clarity with what is going on.

This is the second time I’ve gone to Layla, with it saying it is open everywhere online and even on the building with the hours listed, and it was just closed. They have great food, but it’s a completely unreliable business. It’s so frustrating.

Great find for unique fast food!Few good kids choices including Kraft Mac and cheese. For vegan - try unicorn burger.Plenty of parking and outside seating.

i’ve been putting off saying anything publicly but it needs to be said: i quit on september 1st. at that point in time, i was owed three paychecks. today, september 28th, i have still received nothing and no communication as to when to expect them. as far as i’m aware, no one has received paychecks since mid-august & this business is still stealing wages and operating as normal. this is completely unacceptable & i want this business to thrive but if you can’t afford to pay the people who keep your business open, you shouldn’t be running a business. PLEASE do better.

Tbh this place is great, I'm only giving 1 star until they bring back the Wilfred Brimley. That burger was one of my favorites in STL.

Sooooo Good!! Breakfast and Dinner spot in WG.There’s never a wait.Breakfast: Burgundy Burrito smothered in Homemade Gravy.Lunch and Dinner: Patti Smith Burger!!! With caramelized Onion..It’s on another level. If you like local favorites such as max’s local eats, stacked, blueberry Hill it’s definitely a good burger to check out.Great Food!

This place is obnoxious and the staff do NOT care about cleanliness. I don't care how long you've been in the food industry--you've clearly been doing wrong all along. Don't touch your face, then my food. Don't act bored. Don't get defensive about every comment a concerned customer makes. The food is not quality for the price.Adieu.

Have you ever had a dish at a restaurant and remembered it, like, YEARS later? That is the Taylor Swiss from Layla. The few times I've been to Layla. I've never had anything i didn't like. The red pepper hummus is incredible, but this particular sandwich just...has no business being so good. I will be remembering that first bite years from now.

Came here for lunch just the other day. Absolutely wonderful service; the employees are very kind and quick to help. Food was great, as well. The roasted red pepper is my favorite thing here, and I ordered it as my meal. I always add on the veggies with the pita, and it is worth the small upcharge. This is the best roasted red pepper hummus, and they top it with jalapenos which just adds to the flavor. It wasn't very busy, so I hope they are able to make it. Check this place out. Their burgers and chicken sandwich are also wonderful, as I have had them in the past.

The Patty Smith burger is far and away my favorite patty melt. They also have delicious fries.

Vegetarian options: They had a number of vegetarian options and some vegan.

Been here twice and the experience was awesome both times. Chill place that makes me feel nostalgic for my high school BFF's parents' basement (in a good way!). Great vegetarian/vegan options and everyone working always seems to be in a good mood. Def recommend!

Shout out to the cook on the morning of June 11th. My husband and I really enjoyed the ‘Bad Egg Burger’ and the breakfast burrito ‘The Burgandy’

Patty Smith burger was very delicious and super juicy. The Firebird chicken sandwich was very good, and a nice mix of flavors. The Cluck Norris wasn't all that special. The Falafel fries were very good, and the Spicy Batata was okay, but be ready for spicy.

Excellent first impression of a casual eating space with inventive food preparation. Fried brussel sprouts with gojuchang; yum! The Straight Edge is messy and big and delicious! Definitely give this a try in Webster Groves.

Seriously eggcelent food. Layla is now on our list of places to come back to when we are in town.Good service, clean and chill atmosphere, and really really good food. They were super accommodating to dietary restrictions too! Our server went the extra mile to make sure it was all the way we needed it to be.

Dietary restrictions: We have lots of food restrictions, so it was really awesome that they were able to accommodate us with a gluten, soy, dairy, pepper, and citrus free, low histamine fish that was delicious.
