My family and I came from out of town to take the kids to the zoo and found this place looking online for something we didn’t have back home and this was a fantastic experience very friendly people all around! Kids menu was perfect and all our food was brought to us amazing!! Hot fresh and just simply so good!!! If we get to come back and visit I would definitely come to eat here again!!!

We had been wanting to try this place for awhile. I went with a group of four and we all had to send our plates back because our proteins (steak, pork and salmon) were cooked incorrectly. Now at this point you think a manager would stop by the table - I've seen this done for at restaurants that aren't as expensive or nice as The Block. It is the favorite restaurant in the STL area for many, offering consistent meals from beginning to end. The food is delicious and everything tastes very fresh. The Block burger is very tasty and carefully composed, and the Butchers cut steak is cooked per order, tender, juicy, and perfectly seared. Other popular items include the Block salad, fries, fried sprouts, crispy chicken sandwich, and the Gnocchi special. The pretzels are steaming hot and the peach crisp with cinnamon ice cream is a great finish. The service is great with a friendly and more than friendly staff. The atmosphere is very nice. It is a great place for a great dinner, and the best restaurant for burgers and steaks.
