“My family and I came from out of town to take the kids to the zoo and found this place looking online for something we didn’t have back home and this was a fantastic experience very friendly people all around! Kids menu was perfect and all our food was brought to us amazing!! Hot fresh and just simply so good!!! If we get to come back and visit I would definitely come to eat here again!!!“

“I love Up-Down STL! The games are 25¢ per game no matter the game. On Fridays they sell their giant slices (basically a quarter of a large pizza I think) for only $5 per slice and they gave lots of different flavors to choose from. I'm allergic to tomatoes and they even have choices I can eat. The games are fun and run great. The drinks at the bar are delicious. The vibe on the place is really fun.“

“A cool little dive bar with pinball machines. On a Sunday night they seem to have some league whereby people play them all night so normal patrons can’t use them. It’s a pretty cool place though, and if you can find a night where you can play pinball or just listen to the jukebox, I’d definitely recommend it. Tiny chef is excellent also and they sell food at a window inside the bar.“

We had to wait 15 minutes for a booth but I didn’t mind because this place serves LOOKS. The decor was awesome! Everything from the stellar service, crispy and lacey smash burgers and gorgeous dining room(s) made me realize why this spot is always recommended to me. “This place is the most welcoming, warm, full of good people dive bar I have ever been to in my life. Lots of pinball machines, wonderful bartenders and patrons, Dan-o's pizza if you get hungry. The pinball machines are half the cost. They are anywhere else that I've been to. The owners are amazing. And the people are such a great group of people. This place has been my home bar for 4 years and I don't see that changing. I always feel safe, welcome, and protected when I am in this bar. “Go to this bar. Bike parking right up front, every band I've seen so far are all very good, I immediately made friends with everyone there, I became family in 3 visits. Everyone watches out for everyone, no fights, drinks are very reasonable, there's good parking around back. The bar owner Judy commands respect and everyone loves her.
