“Paul Manno’s is the one thing I miss more than the Cardinals baseball games since retiring in 2004. I took my brother there a few years before that, and he said it was the best Italian he had anywhere in the country, and he traveled a lot. I always recommended Paul’s whenever new people came in our flower shop, and EVERYONE agreed with my brother and me. I hounded Gourmet Magazine until they reviewed them. Good enough for MNF Aikman, Buck & Collingsworth! My number one choice in the country.“

“Aug 11 about 9:30 am. What a wonderful brunch spot. It’s between two sections of a shopping center and at a hair raising intersection but the breezeway was perfect on a summer day. Friendly staff, interesting menu, and a quick correction to an erroneously executed special request. We all ordered a different dish but all 5 of us were happy with the presentation and flavor. And no side-eye for lingering. Wish I didn’t live 300 miles away-I’d definitely come back!!!“

I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! “What a neat place! It seems like they're just getting started with a brick and mortar venue, so they were a little understaffed for the traffic they were experiencing when we visited. If you’re willing to be patient, the reward is worth it. My wife and I split the Bombay Falafels w. Creamy Hummus. The falafels were tasty and fresh, so moist that they really didn’t need the hummus. I had the Chick’n Tikka bowl with fried rice. That fried rice is AMAZING. It was so light, fluffy, and flavorful, I could have eaten my weight in the stuff. The sauce and seasoning combo on the vegan chicken were also incredibly good. My wife had the Butt’r Tofu bowl and we were a little less impressed. The tofu was fine but the sauce tasted a bit like spiced up Campbell’s Tomato Soup. If we lived in the area, we would DEFINITELY make a return visit. The owner was very friendly, very helpful with food allergies, and I’m sure there is a real treasure trove of delicious things on his menu.“

“We got a large fruit cake for a birthday party, and it was a hit! The birthday girl isn't a fan of most store-bought frosting, so we wanted a whipped cream frosting. The cake was beautiful and delicious (not too sweet, but the kids still came back for seconds), and the service at the bakery was excellent. Even the packaging was great; the cake box had sturdy handles, and the cake was on a firm gold board that made transporting and serving a breeze. They even included a plastic cake knife and some birthday candles! We've enjoyed their other baked goods many times, and we'll certainly be back for future cake orders.“

“My husband had a birthday so his Mom and I decided to go to Kreis to celebrate. From beginning to end service was impeccable and the food was as good as you would expect from an institution that's been around since 1948. The highlights for my husband was the perfectly prepared prime rib, the wedge salad, and he enjoyed the on the house amaretto cheese cake with a festive sparkler. For his Mom and me, the filet medallions with mushroom red wine sauce were delicious and I particularly loved the apple strudel. I wish I could remember the name of our server with the slicked back brown hair because he deserves am extra shout out, but everyone there was pleasant and extremely efficient. I highly recommend!“

“I was never much of a fan of Indian food, but Flavors has changed my mind. I have enjoyed several dishes, and have enjoyed expanding my tastes. I stay with Mostly chicken as I'm not a big fan of Lamb. but also have enjoyed several of the vegetable dishes, and always order enough to take some home for the next day...honestly after 24 hours in the fridge the flavors meld and I find it very enjoyable. While the decor is pretty plain (what indian or asian restaurant isn't?) it is very clean and the servers have always been prompt polite and accommodating. Last but certainly important is there are a lot of customers of Indian descent. Go try it and enjoy expanding your tastes.“

Example, when you order a salad, it comes with not enough dressing & I’m one who does not require or want a lot or extra salad dressing on my salad. But they charge extra for each addition little cup of salad dressing. And after the party I was with left, I ordered takeout for my wife. They said they gave my order to someone in my party, which I know for a fact they did not. When I got home with the order I had to wait for more than twice as long for, they did not put the extra salad dressing I ordered & payed for in my bag. I know I should’ve checked but I trusted them & they failed.“

“My sister gifted my husband and I a gift card for Xmas. She works for three kings in south county another establishment with the same owners. The food and atmosphere at Three Kings is so great that we were thrilled to see they’d opened a Mexican restaurant as we love tacos! Just from walking up from the partying lot, I knew it would be great! The outside dining had lots of themed touches that were really nice! Soon as we walked in we were greeted and told of our wait time. we really appreciated that the hostess took our number and called us when our table was ready. We ended up sitting and waiting, we like to people watch :D the decor was gorgeous! I loved the succulent chandelier, the floral walls, the ceramic and the mosaic touches! All of their establishments are inviting and really create a nice atmosphere! Our server Charlie was friendly and knowledgeable regarding drinks and food! We each had a delicious margarita! The chips and salsa were fantastic! My husband ordered a smothered burrito and I opted for a taco plate. I was very impressed with the amount of options on the food especially for health conscious people- vegan, gluten free, etc! I loved that I could mix and match, I had a Baja fish taco and the vegan chorizo. Both were amazing! The slaw on the baja taco was sweet and crunchy! This was my first experience with vegan chorizo and it was the perfect amount of spicy! The plantains were delicious and basically became our dessert! We over indulged too much and skipped dessert, but we will be back soon so that we can order the Churros! Highly recommend checking out Tres Reyes and or Three Kings if you haven’t yet! You won’t be disappointed! :)“
