Cheese baby, cheese!

I came here willingly for one reason, and only one reason: I saw someone's picture of a dish called Alhombre and had to try it. Think of it like this...they throw a handful of pieces of all of their meats (plus bacon) on a platter and then smother it is cheese sauce. Yep, kinda like a garbage pizza but made of Americanized Mexican food. The list included chicken, steak, fish, bacon and somehow a couple of shrimps even though they weren't listed on the menu as being part of the dish. There were some vegetables in there too but the dish could have used a bit more. Everything was cooked properly and very flavorful even without that luscious blanket of cheese laid over the top. Tortillas on the side along with the ubiquitous rice & beans.

We started with chips and salsa but the main event was the most memorable...until dessert arrived. The thing I love about flan is the drizzle of caramel sauce that usually accompanies the custard on the plate. There's never enough to allow a little bit with each bite. Not usually. Not ever - until this plate of flan arrives and it was absolutely swimming in caramel sauce (see picture). I was stuffed to the gills but actually contemplated ordering another one just to see if it would look the same. I held off but will certainly return if for no other reason than to have another flan.“

“My favorite place for a burger in West County. Beer is cold and staff is friendly. Good healthy options if you’re into that kind of thing. Golf simulators, but remember to make a “tee time” which is easy to do via their website.“

“First time having St Louis style pizza. The taste was good on the sweet heat and all meat pizzas. The square-shaped pieces are convenient for snacking on. However, the cuts could have been deeper. Most of the pieces were fused back together by the cheese.“

I called ahead and asked the staff if they could help me surprise my wife for our anniversary dinner. All I told them was, “I’m planning to bring my wife here for our first time to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. Please help me make it a memorable experience for her. She doesn’t know about this.” From that moment on, the staff went above and beyond for us. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. They spent time with me on the phone suggesting ideas and helping plan the entire evening. As soon as we walked through the front doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and escorted to our table. While my wife was admiring the beautiful and cozy atmosphere, the staff gave me the reassuring “we got you” signal, allowing me to sit back, relax, and enjoy the night with her. The evening turned out even better than I expected. Every moment left my wife amazed, and she had a smile on her face the entire night. Thank you to all of the amazing staff members for making our anniversary so special. We officially found our new favorite place for dinner dates. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone. “Our local Irish pub has become our go-to place for comfort, good food, and genuinely kind people. “Ill start off with the service, it wasn't good our server was just okay for the most part but when they brought out the food one server had know idea which plates go to which guest she literally asked us where is position 6 which we had no idea obviously, and one steak was not done right and it took a half an hour for it to come back out, plates or not taking off the table after we got done eating and sat there for a while, it was very loud in the restaurant as well, but im willing to give the establishment another chance everyone has a bad day at times.“

I must say the food was really good but, our appetizer came out which was the spicy Mac & cheese bites, they were good but cold in the center. I let the waitress know and she apologized. She took them back and bought a freshly made order and they were steaming hot and excellent! I got the double smash burger, which was really good, but it was cooked more like a regular hamburger because on a Smashburger the edges are crispy which adds to the flavor. My hamburger SB edges, even though it was a really good burger! I I would still recommend eating here because the food is really good and the service is excellent! I get it some days,there are off days and maybe that’s what happened. But we will definitely be back!“
