“Old time diner with a zillion slushy, shake and ice cream options. They have a walk up window as well. The burgers, fried pickles and sweet potato nuggets were delicious. Friendly employees - very polite and courteous. May never cross paths again, but highly recommend.“

“Stopped here for lunch while passing by Grenada on I-55 on Tuesday. It was so delicious, we had to stop on the way back on Thursday. The catfish is amazing as are the tater babies and baked beans. Pulled pork sandwich, hush puppies, fries and cole slaw were also delicious. On the way back through, I tried their burger (small) and it had to be a 1/3 or maybe even a 1/2 pound patty. delicious as well. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly. This will become a mandatory stop on future trips down the I-55 interstate. During the lunch rush, they will be busy and their parking lot is smaller. Worry not! They are fast and efficient and people move through quickly. I cannot wait to go back!“

“I love sonic ice. I buy bags frequently. My tab is always $3.48 and I give 5$ and say keep the change, which btw is a greater than 30% tip for the tab. When I paid my server, she looked at the 5 dollar bill, rolled her eyes and walked off like she was upset. She never said thank you which most of the servers do. I’m not sure what kind of tip on a $3.48 tab she was expecting, but greater than 30% is well above the national average for tipping.“

“Popped in here to belly up and whet my whistle on the way home from Meridian. Excellent atmosphere with excellent bloozey music playing from the ceiling. Funky dark vibe. Nice livertender...well, any livertender is nice when they stock Blue Moon. Menu looks tasty. Will most definitely grub next time I come through.“

Came back to Applebee’s after a long break and the improvement was VERY noticeable. Shy was our server and she absolutely crushed it. Friendly. Attentive. Made everything easy and enjoyable. We would come back just because of her. Applebees needs more people like Shy!

I recently attended a small birthday party (less than 10 people) at Applebee’s, despite past bad experiences. I ordered the Four Cheese Mac with Chicken Tenders, hoping it would be simple enough to get right. I was wrong. The chicken was overcooked and hard as a brick. I barely ate two bites.

I told my waitress, Hailey, who called over the manager on duty, Adam Jones. Turns out, he was the bar manager. When I explained the issue, he said, “You just don’t like it… It is your fault.” Instead of handling it professionally, he was dismissive and rude. He eventually comped part of the dish, but his attitude to me was completely uncalled for. He should stick to handling the drinks at the bar because dealing with sober well paying customers clearly isn’t his strength.

Holland is the GM and is a great guy and a former customer of mine. I don’t hold this against him personally, but Applebee’s has failed again. Between the unskilled kitchen and a sour bar manager, I won’t be returning.

TL;DR: Chicken was overcooked, the manager on duty was rude and dismissive, and the kitchen can’t even get a simple dish right. When I said the chicken was hard, Adam told me, “It’s your fault.” That says it all. Not coming back or recommending this place to anyone.“
