“I am 68, and ribs have been one of my favorite foods all of my adult life. I rarely write reviews online, but I am compelled to recommend Down South BBQ & Burgers. Their ribs are the best I have ever had: almost (almost is the key) fall-off-the-bone tender and seasoned perfectly. Try them dry first, but they have a selection of delicious sauces, too. Down South also has delicious chicken, brisket, and wings in addition to burgers and a wide selection of side dishes. The folks are friendly and well organized and offer a simple, immaculately clean dining area if you want to dine in. If you haven't tried Down South, I encourage you to do so!“

“Absolutely the best service! Bobby was not only super friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations, kept our drinks full, and timed everything perfectly. It made the whole dining experience feel elevated and relaxed. 10/10 would ask for her again!“

“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it“

“Good job on the fried chicken. I won't get the coleslaw again but some folks might like it like that. I got a good assortment of cookies. The taste was like their shooting more for something healthy rather than the reason most people buy cookie.“

“Two Rivers is my top 3 favorite places to get a great meal with great service. Christian is the best server in Jackson metro, hand down! The only thing this place could do better is maybe change the carpet and the decor some, just to make it a little more modern. But at the end of the day, if they don't change a thing that's fine with me. Heck, they could bring in card tables and fold up chairs as far as I'm concerned! As long as the quality of food and service stay the way they are now, my family and I will be eating there for life!“
