We arrived with a large group and were amazed at the hustle of the staff to get us seated together and get drink orders taken. We weren't sure how good the food would be, but the place was recommended by a local, and we were so pleased with everything that came out of the kitchen. El Toro is pretty good. The chips were good but the salsa and guacamole were bland. The grilled cactus was very good. It's more California Mexican as opposed to Tex-Mex but overall it's a good place.

Really enjoyed dinner at El Toro! Stopped in while here from California visiting family. Gotta say everything from the service to the food (and the price!) was really great. Our waitress was polite and attentive and our food came out quickly and correct.
