Restaurantji's Greenville picks for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“Stopped for lunch this past Saturday. The restaurant is in the same strip mall as Kroger and I really enjoyed it. I had the Valle Especial and it came with Chicken, Beef, Reef Fried Beans, Salad and a cheese enchlada. I had a Modelo blonde to go with it. They brought out a bowl of chips and salsa during the wait. It didn't look like it was open when I pulled up but it definitely was. A good overall lunch at an inexpensive price.“
“It's a small place, has a hole in the wall kind of feel but it's clean and has plenty of room inside. There's booths and tables to sit and enjoy the food. Friendly staff, really good hot tamales. Chicken wings are really good too“
“Service was good, actually best part of the whole taco bell stop. Would of liked the food to of been the best part, but no. I ordered an encherito nice new containers but way too big container for amount of food I was served in it, tiny Amount mostly tortila , and that also is what my taco was like well first it was broken the shell I tried to put some sauce on it. There wasn't much inside. Mostly taco shell. Very disappointing! I should of taken pics. My burrito was not any better. So taco bell was not very enjoyable.“
“This place is fairly priced and has really nice staff . I love the music they play very welcoming environment .The bathrooms are very clean and so is the rest of the restaurant,I 100% recommend coming here ,the fajitas and spicy chicken dip is really good and Also the crab legs , I got a cherry Limeade at the bar it was super good tasted just like sonics !“
“It's always good I love the sauces and fajitas I've had good service and good food. They have a new waiter and he's very attentive he's Dominican I think. he's a chef also that apparently knows how to give great service“
“We came midday Sunday, and enjoyed the Cow Pen brunch, which was plentiful amounts of meats, vegetables, and desserts for $16.95/person. All seemed fresh cooked and served to you (versus help yourself). I had pork loin, steamed cabbage, broccoli and rice, green beans (wonderful!), buttered corn, and a salad. I was full up without going back for seconds. The servers were all really friendly and helpful. I'm writing a review because what was really disappointing was the total lack of view. We chose the Cow Pen because it is close to the Mississippi. However, the restaurant has ZERO windows except for those on the entry doors. The dining rooms are two big rooms with natural wood, all very new looking, but no windows. It was a nice sunny day and the restaurant seems to be pleasant from the outside. But if you're going here to enjoy a river view, you're not going to find it!“
“Good tamales, a little spicy for my taste, but enjoyable. Building clean and bright. The lady who helped me was clean and well groomed. We had a pleasant conversation. By the way, I knew grandfather when he started making tamales after factory work in the '70's.“
