“My granddaughter treated me to lunch for my 84th Birthday 2/6/24, so we decided on Olive Garden, Hattiesburg, MS location since we both love Olive Garden. The service was good; but the soup was thin, watery, scarce noodles; the salad was more white coarse part of lettuce. We didn't want to make a scene so we ate what we could, paid the bill with proper tip and left. I was so disappointed. I have always enjoyed Olive Garden before this.“
“Talk about a loaded chicken cobb salad from the Salad Station! I subbed out for bleu cheese dressing. They were out of dragonfruit lemonade, so received strawberry lemonade substitution.Not usually big on salads (despite my doctor’s frequent encouragement). This one was worth it.“
“I arrived relatively early, somewhere around 9:30, so I think that they were still baking. I bought some bread and a couple of bagels. The bagels were very good. I froze the bread so I will have to update my review later about the quality of the bread. I have to admit being a bit disappointed because there were no whole wheat or rye bread options. I am hoping that when I visit the next time they will have a bit more of a selection. The service was excellent. The gentleman who took my order was very pleasant and helpful. “Initially I was little disappointed when I walked in and saw that this is a giant self-serve salad bar, because I don’t want to make my own food when I go out to eat, lol. Also, as you walk down the bar, you find more ingredients that you didn’t know were there and then you just keep adding all of these random items to your bowl- like, ooh cilantro, ooh banana peppers, buffalo chicken, I want that too! When I looked down at the ‘Frankenstein’s monster’ that I had created, my initial thought was, ‘Dang, I wish I could dump this out and start over’. But, surprisingly, it actually tasted good, even though I had put so many random things in that bowl. And better yet, I felt great after I ate here, because it was light and healthy and it gave me lots of energy to get through my day. Now that I know what ingredients they have, I’ll be able to build a more cohesive salad the next time. Also, kudos to them for using compostable bowls. I wish more restaurants were environmentally aware like this one is!“
