Great food and awesome service. I was surprised to meet the owner there as he was on site helping the waitstaff and the kitchen all while walking around greeting guests and making sure we all were enjoying everything. Great experience and the food was amazing! If you like southern Tex-Mex style food and barbecue this is definitely the spot for you and your family. Such a fantastic place! The wife and I checked it out when the weather canceled our trip to Memphis, but we were still in the mood for barbecue.
Seeing as Boondocks is located in Belhaven, we were afraid that it was going to be expensive, like so many of the restaurants in Belhaven Town Center. The pictures of the food on Facebook seemed to confirm that fear. How could barbecue look that good, and still serve cheaply?

I discovered this restaurant yesterday when I saw their sign on Fortification St! I decided to give it a try after looking at the menu and seeing all the options to choose from! I chose the BBQ Rib plate with fries, baked beans, and roll! Those ribs were amazingly tender! The dipping sauce and beans were very good as well. For dessert I tried the cheesecake.
