Excellent late night place to grab a drink and pizza. They have a great staff, a covered outdoor patio and plenty of pub games.
Fondren Public is under new ownership so I went to check it out. While it hasn't been renovated, the atmosphere was definitely changed for the better. Staff are super personable & attentive to guests. They updated the food menu to include more options, & all of the taps have fresh beer. I had the pub burger, which comes with a bag of chips, & a peach beer. It was a solid meal & the burger was well executed & fresh. Needs a new bouncer. I was barely within ear shot, and he looked at me like I was already a nuisance, telling me I needed to empty all the pockets and show him everything—only to look at me like I was an idiot when I did so, and state the obvious fact that he was going to need some identification. The man needs to find a new attitude or find a new occupation.
