“I was still thinking about the food the next day. Filet was tender. Mashed potatoes, well seasoned, maybe overly so. The cucumber tomato salad surprised me. I was expecting to taste zucchini. My salad was a Queen of Hearts. Crispy with vinegrette, maybe raspberry. Loved it. And the bread pudding...I preferred the crispy parts.The beginning of the evening was a bit off. We were offered seats in the bar instead of their asking our preference. And when I ordered my steak medium, the server questioned me, telling me "it's pink."I flatly repeated, "I want medium."She returned and apologized because my mouth didn't say it, but my face did: this ain't my first damned steak.Parking: Parking is ragged. “Saw this place on Yelp and reviews had our mouths watering! Passing through McConb, so a quick detour off I-55 didn't seem bad.... Arrived and squeezed into slim parking in front. Only to learn... no food service tonight. Dining only on Weds, Thurs, and Fri. If it was mentioned in reviews, I must've missed it. Giving four stars for the friendly fella at the bar who gave us the sad news.“
