Being alone I sat at the bar area and the bartender was incredibly attentive and delightful. She went out of her way to make certain I had an enjoyable time and it was appreciated. \nI had the fried green tomatoes to start and they were good just too much breading to actually enjoy the tomatoes. The "comeback" sauce was exceptionally good and was what made the dish. I probably should not have ordered it b/c it meant I could not even begin to finish my dinner. \nI ordered...
Super good spot. Never had a bad meal here. Known as the oldest restaurant in Mississippi. It's just good. Be sure to get the fried green tomatoes with the 1870 sauce if you go.
Top notch in all categories. Food and service were the best I have experienced in a long time. Our party was there in memory of a loved family member.
