We were in town and waking along Main Street and saw Proof Bakery. We walked and this was a great dining experience. The lady working the front counter was very knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel very welcome and not rushed. The outstanding service was equal to the outstanding food. Visiting our niece at MSU we discovered Proof. As a working baker in Virginia, I had to stop in. I was so glad I did. Entering the shop is walking into TJ's (the owner and baker) kitchen. Every inch of the shop and the bakery drips with a passion for baking. We bought croissants and a strawberry cronut. At first, they seemed a bit expensive, but they are the biggest I have ever eaten. Exploring Starkville a bit and one of the few places open on Friday evening, on an Easter weekend, was Proof Bakery. Checking it out was a must! So glad we did! The baked good are tasty, and the owner is an amazing person! You can buy in store or order online with curbside pickup!Parking: Street parking and parking behind the bakery.
