“The food is fabulous, the ambiance is lovely, cozy, and inviting! The staff, chef, and owners.... I cannot use enough superlatives to describe them! We held our daughter's bridal luncheon at Grit and they (staff, chefs, owners) all made it a perfect memory making event! Thank you for adding even more joy to our wedding celebration!!! “I had the shrimp po boy. It was okay. The bread was good that it was served on. The shrimp themselves were decent. They could have stood a little more seasoning in the batter. It was also very dry as a whole. It said it comes with spicy ketchup, which I did not see any on mine, and mayonnaise. A coworker had the French fries. They were frozen fries and they lacked seasoning for sure. They were very bland. My drink never got refilled, however the peoples’ drinks at my table were refilled.“

“Snackbar never disappoints. It is without question one of the best restaurants in the south. Cocktails are top notch, the food is spectacular and unique and Chef Bhatt shows off everyday why he deserved a James Beard award. A trip to Oxford can't be without a dinner at Snackbar.“

“The burgers are the best outside of homemade. Good sweet tea. The fries are hand cut and smelled awesome. I thought the fries would be crispier but everything was good. “✨Very first visit to Oby’s.✨Came in for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6:30pm and it was very crowded.We opted to dine in and noticed there was indoor as well as outdoor seating available. Orders are placed at the counter prior to seating. While in line the area is very congested with high traffic from staff delivering food to the table: Yes, waitstaff brings the food to your table. Sofie was the friendliest employee we encountered and she was quite a breath of fresh air with her upbeat, professional and courteous demeanor.I ordered the Pouchatoula Strawberry salad with grilled shrimp added. Our second choice meal was the Swampland and Sea platter (pick 2). The two items selected were catfish fillets and grilled shrimp. The Ponchatoula salad was so delicious!! When I am in the Oxford area, I look forward to ordering this again. I also learned Ponchatoula is a city in Louisiana and is host to the popular Strawberry Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival every spring.“

“Wife and I ordered Cheeseburgers and split an order of fries. I got a Double Cheeseburger with everything and it was messy and excellent. All the food is cooked to order so it is fresh and hot off the grill. The fries are thick cut so a few go a long way. It is a hang out for the locals which tells you the food has to be good. Add this to your list when visiting Oxford.“

“Tied with Saint Leo for best brunch in Oxford. Maybe a slight edge over Saint Leo even. Incredible menu along with tempting chalkboard specials, including chargrilled oysters. We had the oysters, steak and eggs, and a grouper Benedict. The grilled oysters would easily hold their own in NOLA. Steak and eggs perfectly cooked. And grouper Benedict was amazing including some of the best hollandaise sauce I’ve had anywhere. It was a five star meal.“

“Good friendly service and prompt. Food was good, burgers had pretty good thick patty. Got the Southern Burger which comes with pimento cheese. I think it could use a bit more pimento cheese. Fries were good. Prices for burgers ran around 12 - 13 $ with fries. Lots of different sports playing on numerous TVs so looks to be a good place to watch while you eat.“

“One of our go to places for real good comfort food. So far our favorite is the French dip sandwich. The bread is hot and soft with lots of roast beef and cheese. Their salads are very good too. Their burgers are also very good. We took an out of town relative who ordered the Ruben sandwich and he said it was the best one he'd ever eaten. And he was in his 70's.“

I usually get fries and they are slightly battered and always hot.One note is sauces can vary by heat a slight amount so you might want to check. Their General Tso's sauce, my favorite, can vary from sweet with just a hint of heat, to sweet with a fair amount of heat. But they have a wide variety of sauces, many with no heat at all. So all palates can be satisfied.“

The special on Fridays is a filet, which has been delicious and cooked to our requests (medium rare for me and medium for my husband). It came with fresh steamed vegetables, a choice of potatoes and bread. Our friend had the Mississippi fried catfish, which was heavily breaded. Another friend had the fried chicken tenders, and she enjoyed them. One thing to be aware of is the temperature in the restaurant- it is always very cold. Bring a coat!“

“Hard to give a 5star rating at a fast food drive-thru!!! Hence the 4star!.Food is usually just fine, nicely cooked and hot.I have noticed they seem to be short staffed often over the last year ++. I asked the sweet lady working hard to get orders out and correctly, if I could help by calling her regional office. She seemed reluctant, as she continued to work getting our order out..I assured her I could tell she was doing her best as fast as she could and to not let anyone complaining about it get her down.Vegetarian options: Broccoli and side salad are usually good options for me. I like to add butter to my Broccoli. I like their broccoli. I'm not one that likes it half cooked. If I want it crunchy, I'll buy a veggie tray with dip..I've always liked the batter dipped fish with lots of malt vinegar. “Delicious exquisite pizza. To further add, the management and I chatted briefly as he rounded the restaurant to personally greet everyone and ask about their experience. I think that says everything necessary as to why our food was worth every dollar paid and assurement of future visits.“

“Very nice place to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal! My girls love that they have games like tic-tac-toe , connect 4 etc. to play with while waiting on food! Gives a little family fun outside of phones. The times we have been we were always greeted with smile and someone speaking to us! The waitresses have the best attitudes and are always so sweet and helpful! I absolutely LOVE their lemon pepper boneless wings and their cheese sticks are like no other place around! They are homemade and so cheesy! I definitely loved the fact that their hamburgers are fresh and not frozen! And seasoned so good! It was closer to end of the night as well, she never saw this as time to check on customers still present and when stopped to ask about our bill she pointed to the small kiosk on the table and kept going on her way. “Located in the Graduate Hotel, this is a great place for breakfast. The prices of food are higher then Big Bad Breakfast for less food but it is in a hotel and there is a better ambiance. The coffee here is fantastic though. Service is good- you order at the counter and they bring food to your table. The chicken biscuit was good but the $1.50 for cheese was a bit much being it was a very thin slice of cheese like you would get wrapped in plastic as a kid.“
