The food was great. I seldom run across an El Paso without good food.But despite being one of two to three tables occupied, the staff seemed to have a hard time remembering the full order. At times, it felt like our server was ignoring us.On top of that, the place seemed to have a hard time with pest control or bathroom cleaning.

Came to vicksburg to visit some family and they had plans for us to eat here at El Paso. Although I am not a fan of mexican food, I LOVED IT. Our server was very sweet and she continuously checked on us.
We had a pre-planned lunch here with 40 folks. While this was planned for many months. The restaurant only provided one server. Our group had contacted them 4 hours before with our menu selection. We arrived at 1245pm and waited till after 215pm for lunches. My steak fajitas were warm, the beans and rice were cold. It was a very bad experience.

The last time it took over an hour, this time there was no bartender, an they allowed to kids to run around and play as if there were on a play ground. The waitresses were polite, but I think it was there first day and were training service was prompt but the bads especially the kids outweigh the good

Order was incorrect. Couldn't understand the waitress and food was adverage. Drinks were pitiful. Have had way better experiences prior to this one. Place has gone down hill.

This is by far one my favorite places to eat Mexican food, the food is well cooked and portioned, the cheese dip and salsa is great, only negative I have is the phone service, it is never answered and the voicemail always says full and can't leave message, if you don't want people to call don't post a number, very frustrating to order. the food and service is rated a 5, but the phone service I rate a 2 with room for improvement.
This was the absolute BEST Mexican food I have ever had! It was so good! Best grilled chicken taco salad!An average of about $10 per person.

When you walk in, the floors are sticky. Service was terrible and food wasn’t anything special. The place seemed dirty. The staff seemed not to care about the guests.

Bad service, very slow. Also we were seated next to a very large loud group of young people. Asked to be moved and were told we could go outside but wouldn't seat us in another location inside their half empty dining area. COVID-19 not an issue. They were putting people very close to each other. Food was atrocious. Very greasy and uncwewable beef.

I rarely write bad reviews. Typically I understand that most servers and back of house workers may have bad days and try not to let one bad experience negatively effect my opinion.That being said, my last visit to El Paso in Vicksburg was horrendous and I will never go back. My friend and I went for lunch and they were not very busy at all. The waitress was clearly new, but she did fine given her lack of experience and confidence. We ordered the same dish, the Al Pastor fajitas, and a drink. All fairly normal for a less than adequately managed restaurant. The main issue started when we received our food. The food was brought to the table by our server and another server. It was clearly the wrong dish and we both said as such to the server. Both of them insisted that the dish was correct and that perhaps we were mistaken as the menu may have changed. We both realized it was incorrect but realized we didn't have time to wait for it to be corrected. Also, the food was good so we weren't overly concerned about the mistake.Then about 10 minutes into eating our meal, a manager came out with the correct dish, the dish we had ordered. She told us that there had been a mistake and that what she had was the proper dish. She then berated us for having eaten some of the other dish (10 minutes later!) and said that it would be fine, she would just charge us for both dishes. We said 'No we are happy to pay for the dish we got, but we don't want the other food and we won't be paying for it.' She again became very aggressive and threatened to charge us for the salad plate that had been brought with the meal, the tortillas that were brought, etc. Anything that was not included with the meal we were mistakenly brought had to be paid for she said. When we again refused, she snatched the plates with the salad off the table and stomped out with the salad, the correct meal, and my silverware. When the time came to check out, she had charged us for the more expensive meal anyway.This is far and away the worst response from management at a restaurant I've ever seen. There is no excuse. We were not aggressive, unreasonable, or disingenuous. Her anger was misplaced and while I can understand the frustration, to be so aggressive and petty with customers who made the best of a bad situation is unacceptable. I will not be back, which is sad because I do truly enjoy their food. Unfortunately the food at this price is not worth the possibility of ever having to interact with that woman again.

Came off recommendation from hostess at hampton inn. Wanted great Mexican and found it!!! Was a Saturday night and seemed slow, we specifically wanted outdoor seating and they had plenty :) our server was angel and she was excellent very fast and friendly. She recommended the Plato feliz "happy plate" it was AWESOME! Rice covered with steak and shrimp then if you want peppers onions and all covered in just the right amt of queso. OMG!! The choriqueso was perfect as well (I've had plenty of mediocre ones :/)Wish we lived here cuz we would be regulars! Top shelf margarita was delicious. If you are traveling through and want great Mexican from a place you might not find on your own this is the place! Who would have thought.....
