I don't think the food matches the price. While the atmosphere is nice, and their service is awesome, the food has just always been subpar. It was sad when going in one day and the prices nearly doubled overnight with the same quality.

Disappointing meal… My wife and I have enjoyed Silver Star several times, but it’s obvious that the ownership or management has changed. We both ordered the 8 oz sirloin and my wife asked for hers to be well done, with absolutely no pink. She asked them to butterfly the steak, so it would be cooked the way she likes it. Her steak came out, not butterflied and was cooked medium. She ended up sending her steak back twice, before they finally cooked it in the oven, so it was well well done. My steak was average, but I ordered it with broccoli, which was undercooked and barely warm. We asked for steak sauce, which came to the table late, and I was taken back that they charged $5.95 each, for a small side of sauce. Silver Star Steakhouse has become very proud of their food, which is very overrated. Unfortunately, we won’t be eating there again.

Went for after work drinks with colleagues. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Dinner was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted divine. Service was also very good. It was a great experience.

Onion soup delicious. Fried chicken sandwi h disappointing and boring. Live music great.

Great service and tons of food. Excellent filet and ribeye.

One of my favorite spots in Helena! Love the apps and the martinis.

For what they charge for a steak you would think they would put one more effort into the steak tasting good. Don't waste you time and hard earned money here.

Great location, the servers were fantastic as they opened the patio for us. We ordered some appetizers and a couple drinks. It took a bit to get our drinks in fact the food came out first which was a bit frustrating. We ordered the shrimp flight cocktail and an order of wings. We started off with the shrimp and they were very good. After that thinking the wings should be cooled down my wife took a bite of a wing and wasn't thinking much of it she said it was really chewy and cold... It was RAW. RIDICULOUS. I addressed the issue immediately and got a BS excuse from the manager. I am very displeased with the response from management. He said he doesn't have these issues and the cook said it would be "ok"... No. Hell no.. They did comp our ticket but by that point my wife took off and ran back to our hotel room in total duscust. I tipped the waitresses and left as it wasn't there fault. I feel like this was very disgusting and very little accountability was taken. NEVER AGAIN.

The food was amazing and the staff was incredible. Did an evening of appetizers and dessert. The sashimi nachos were great and the crème brûlée was delicious. Thin crust and a silky smooth custard.

Nice place, takes reservations. Our waiter was excellent. We had to wait over 1.5 hrs for our food, and the place wasn't busy. Food was excellent, but I wasn't even hungry anymore.

One of our entrees was not up to par. Chef Ben was extremely gracious and made everything right. We were visiting my son who lives in Helena and frequents the Silver Star. We went back the next night and had a fabulous evening!

Great food with an upscale atmosphere. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the steaks looked good. Good wine selection. They offered live music on my Wednesday night visit.
