“A delayed flight in from Seattle meant I had to fend for myself in Kalispell. I’m pleased to say that I chose to visit this absolute gem! Located just off Main Street is this warm and friendly brewery and restaurant. Situated alongside the disused, now paved, railway track is a converted railway building, now the home of SunRift. A vibrant bar and restaurant greeted me as I walked, immediately being made to feel at home. Sit at the bar or sit at a table the atmosphere was incredible. Families, couples, groups and solos like me were all enjoying being there. A suggestion of having a bodacious blonde was somewhat intriguing! The suggestion proved to hit the spot with my European tastebuds. Cold, crisp and refreshing, all you could want for in a beer. Then the food … hot dog or burger, chicken or salad? It was suggested that a burger would fit the bill and that wasn’t wrong. It was simply amazing, a side of zesty coleslaw and a side of bbq sauce to go with the incredibly well cooked fries left me full up whilst still wanting another outing with a bodacious blonde. In all, a really great place with great decor, great atmosphere and great staff. Was it expensive … in my opinion, NO! Far from it in fact. Freshly brewed beer and freshly cooked food, to order, is becoming rarer. SunRift ticked every box for a weary traveller. Visit Kalispell, visit SunRift. I am, I’m going back before going home!“
