I'd call this place upscale Mexican. Not the standard Mexican but Mexican with a high-class twist. Definitely a hipster/trendy vibe with lots of young professionals. The food is good, but the experience doesn’t match the high prices. It seems like the menu has recently changed, and now it feels like you’re getting nickel-and-dimed for what used to be standard. Chips and salsa, used to be complimentary, as they typically are at most Mexican restaurants—are now $7 extra charge. We ordered the cochinita, which previously came with tortillas, but now it’s a dollar for two tortillas. The quality is there, but the value just isn’t.
