“I notice more and more that when I go to retail establishments, the employees love to respond to 'I'm good, how are you?' with complaints about their employers or customers or personal lives. It makes me want to self-checkout. When I asked the sole sandwich artist on shift this question though, he didn't throw anyone under the bus...he just said he was doing well. A nosy patron asked more questions, and that's how I found out he was abandoned by his team and alone to man the ship on a Friday night. Subway, I hope you show your appreciation for this man. Not only did he keep going, building sandwiches like a ninja for the growing line of your customers, but he did it with a positive attitude. I did not get his name, but it was the sole person who showed up for their 8/7/26 night shift. Thank you for feeding my family! It was delicious :)“
