“One of the greatest hidden treasures in the Bitterroot Valley. A small town bar with a welcoming atmosphere, great food and great staff. We bring a large group in every Friday night and we have reserved tables, and a great time. One of the best things is we come in after a group event and it is late. We love coming here because the grill is open until they close. Great place to grab drinks and food into the late night hours.

Kid-friendliness: As far a bars go, the group that is in here is good about kids coming in to eat in the early evening hours.”

“I ordered a pizza to go. A large Margarita pizza(gash creek). I was told 20 minutes until it would be ready. They had it ready within the 19-minute drive to the bar. The pizza itself was pretty decent. Adequate toppings and sauce. A little flop and not really any char to the bottom. The flavor was overall good, and nothing was overpowering. A large was $25, which is definitely on the steep side of a smallish large pizza. Overall, it's not a bad pizza. Ill try a few others in the future to compare.”

“Outstanding brewery. Actually pretty large for a microbrewery and set up really well. The architecture is outstanding. Really nice people. Great music. The place is kind of hidden away. It has a very large outdoor area also.

I'm not going to be in town long but I will definitely be back to this brewery.

They only had four of their beers on tap, but they were all very good. None were bland but none were overpowering. They were not very heavily hopped, although I haven't tried the IPA yet.”

“I've been to alot of breweries, across the country and Blacksmith is one of the best! The atmosphere is authentic and exudes Bitteroot Valley (and greater Montana) western characteristics. The beer selection was outstanding with a wide variety to suit any palate. We grabbed some hot dogs from the restaurant next to the brewery and they were equally pleasing. All in all it was a great place to meet up with our kids and grand children and enjoy a couple hours!”
