The place wasn't busy when we arrived and the service was prompt and somewhat friendly. The pancakes ordered for out table were not light and fluffy but thick and chewy. The "sausage gravy" had no visible sausage in it and tasted heavily of raw flour. My sausage links were way under-cooked and the server did not come back to check on us after delivering the food, until our table had finished and was ready to leave. I would not come to this place again. Our entire table, all 6 of us, were in agreement that this place was awful.

I ate here all three mornings of my stay in West Yellowstone. First of all, the service is always good. I had three different servers and each one was attentive. The food is 90% good here. I had a chorizo and cheddar omelette two out of the three mornings and it was outstanding. The hash browns were also good. Coffee was tasty. The first morning I got a meal that came with gravy. It was seriously some of the worst sausage gravy I've ever had. It was so bland. But other than that, you can't miss with any option here.

We had breakfast at Running Bear Pancake House and while the experience was a bit of a mixed bag, there were definitely some highlights. The service was truly wonderful—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The coffee was fresh and hit the spot, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t quite live up to our expectations. My French toast was a bit on the dry side, and we found the gravy lacking in flavor. While it wasn’t quite what we were hoping for, it’s clear this is a family-run establishment with a lot of heart, and we appreciated the warm atmosphere. We’d love to come back and try something different on the menu next time!

We had a delicious breakfast here twice during our tour of Yellow Stone. Very friendly service. If you, as a tourist, want to immerse yourself in a piece of American culture, this is definitely recommended.

I ordered the special "combo" of the day with eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. It was SO tasty and a ton of food that I definitely could have shared. My parents each got pancakes and their order of pancakes were a different size than mine which is good to note (theirs being much bigger since it was the main part of that dish). My mom also ordered the cinnamon roll that came out hot and tasted perfect.

It took just a little extra time to get drinks out and to take our order, but the servers were all extremely nice and taking a busy morning in stride.

Great experience overall!

Local joint off the main street of West Yellowstone. The locals know where to go! This was delicious food, great service and fast! They work hard to seat customers quickly and provide top notch service! We had pancakes and the veggie omelette. The pancakes are so delicious and fluffy! Definitely worth the stop!

We arrived this morning around 10:30 and the place was hopping. Wait was 35 minutes as estimated. Waiter was super friendly and food was delivered hot and fresh in good time. We both had omelets and 3 small pancakes, which were great. My only complaint was the need for the restaurant to fix the entry door, which is missing the auto door closing device. People kept leaving the door open as the entered/left and kept brining in the cold air from the morning.

Great food! Friendly and quick service. There was quite a wait to get a table (30 minutes), but they have a very efficient system using pagers that ,over things along. Recommend for breakfast in West Yellowstone!

This cozy spot is tucked away off the beaten path, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The breakfast portions were generous, and the quality of the food was good. Just a heads-up—try to get there early, as it gets busy after 8:30 AM.
